Joe Biden: ‘Unlike the African American Community … the Latino Community Is an Incredibly Diverse Community’

Former Vice President Joe Biden remarked in an interview released Thursday that “unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community.”

Biden was addressing the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) Joint Virtual Convention. Portions of the interview were aired Wednesday, and the full video was streamed Thursday.

“I’m going to look at every single country in the world … this guy [President Donald Trump] is sending them back,” Biden said, promising to extend the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program on his first day in office — one of several such first-day promises Biden has made.

Garcia-Navarro followed up, asking whether Biden would attempt to restore the Obama-Biden administration’s policy of improving relations with communist Cuba.

“Yes,” he said.

Biden then went on to add:

“And by the way, w hat you all know, but most people don’t know, unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community, with incredibly different attitudes about different things … it’s a very diverse community.”

Coincidentally, the Biden campaign released an ad Thursday aimed at black voters that likened President Trump to the “violent racists” of the Jim Crow past.

Biden is the gift that keeps on giving - to our side.

It’s hard to figure out what the democrats were thinking.

Wow. Crickets in the media. I'm visualizing his staffers holding their breath every time he steps in front of a microphone - "Just what's on the teleprompter, Joe, just what's on...DAMN! He did it again!" If Trump had said that there would be a feeding frenzy in the media like a hunk of red meat in a school of piranha.

I've muttered "This can't go on" so many times now that I'm going to stop. They're going to run this clown. And they think their staff can keep him safe in a box while they run the country.

I think Biden is saying that blacks only care about a very few issues. I’d like to have Kanye and Jim Clyburn comment on Biden’s revealing comment.

True. Enjoy, examine, eliminate enablers.

You say you want a revolution? You don’t even have to show us your pictures of Chairman Mao.

And to think Ross Perot got drummed out of political life for referring to black people as "you people".

Joe Biden dropped a deuce. Not only did he refer to Latinos as "you all", but then he insulted black people. Except for those notable exceptions he referred to.

If President Trump or ANY Republican had said this, they would be forced to resign, TODAY..but since its Joe Biden, who not only has dementia, but is a blatant racist, the commie media will say NOTHING they have to protect their investment

He’s saying that he will open the borders to the bearded savages and the chicoms, both of which are funding his campaign.

If a Latino woman and an African-American man ( or a African-American woman and a Latino man) have a child, is the child Latino or African-American?

The obvious answer is that it depends on what program they are applying for.

So, is Joe Biden saying all black people are alike whereas Hispanic people are diverse? Wow !

I seem to recall the Hutu and Tutsi (both black) people were chopping each other up in the 1994 Rwanda genocide, over their differences.

I can’t believe the Rat leadership made this guy be the candidate. As much as Trump says some crazy crap while talking off script, Joe is taking it to the next level.

On “Outnumbered Overtime” today, Harris’ panel was a black RAT spokesman named Scott something, and a lady Trump spokesman. They were discussing this.

Scott said he didn’t have a problem with what Joe said, about the AA community being basically “monolithic”. Then he said Joe will be OK because the minority vote is already “baked into” the election.

I’m thinking that if the black voters are “baked in”, then it IS monolithic. That was the first thing the GOP girl said — that Scott had contradicted himself. He mumbled something, then they cut him off.

It is no wonder why the Dems are terrified to allow this racist numbskull onto a debate stage with Trump.

“I am beginning to wonder if the Democrat strategy is to let Biden destroy himself soundbite by soundbite, and then pull a BAIT and SWITCH right after the Convention to circumvent their own Primary system.”

DNC rules state if the presidential candidate steps aside after becoming the party’s candidate, and before the election, the DNC picks the new candidate. It doesn’t automatically go to the VP candidate.

Hillary is ready and willing.

"Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly diverse attitudes about different things," Biden said. "You go to Florida, you find a very different attitude about immigration than you do in Arizona. So it's a very diverse community."

Biden's campaign said the comment was meant to describe the diversity of political opinion among Latino Americans and was not a judgment on cultural diversity.

But only moments after his campaign responded to POLITICO on his interview, Biden again contrasted Latino and Black Americans — this time explicitly on the topic of national and cultural origin.

"We can build a new administration that reflects the full diversity of our nation. The full diversity of the Latino communities," Biden said. "Now when I mean full diversity, unlike African American community, many other communities, you're from everywhere. From Europe. From the tip of South America, all the way to our border and Mexico and in the Caribbean. And different backgrounds, different ethnicities, but all Latinos."

His campaign did not immediately respond to a request for further comment concerning his NALEO talk.

I can see why the campaign didn’t respond the second time. Wow. This has just got to kill his African American vote.
