Jeanne Hedgepeth, a Palatine High School, Illinois, social studies teacher, has been fired over one of her social media posts after the Township High School District 211 board members voted 5-2 to terminate her employment.
I am about facts, truth-seeking and love, Hedgepeth wrote in the Facebook post that led to her termination. I will speak on any topic I choose because I live in a free country. I find the term white privilege as racist as the N word. You have not walked in my shoes either so do not make assumptions about me and my so called privilege. You think America is racist? Then youve been hoodwinked by the white liberal establishment and race baiters like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Travel the world and go see that every nation has racism and some more than others but few make efforts such as we do to mitigate or eliminate it.
She also recommended the work of economist Thomas Sowell, political commentator and activist Candace Owens, and author and radio host Larry Elder.
Additionally, Hedgepeth argued that there is a deeper problem than racism. She finished by recommending that the black community should stop believing Democrats, mainstream media and intellectuals in ivory towers.

The armed resistance just gained a new member.
Of course the term white privilege is as racist as the N word.
She got fired for pointing that out?
She needs to talk to her union. Well...she needs to hire a lawyer.
Well, apparently not.
Oh, boy. If this lady has a good lawyer, the taxpayers in that locale are gonna be hurting units.
Public school. Government institution. The constitution protects the teacher’s free speech outside the classroom.
She’s gonna be wealthy very soon!..........
I don’t know all the applicable laws here, but I suspect she’s got an excellent case in a lawsuit.
She expressed political opinions, on her own time, as personal opinions, not speaking on behalf of the school. The opinions have nothing to do with her employment as a teacher. The opinions expressed have nothing to do with her job performance.
I don’t know the laws, but just based on common sense, I think she’s got a heck of a legal case for wrongful termination.
Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.

I hope this is followed by a large lawsuit. Speaking your mind on social issues is something that would be expected by a social studies teacher.
Theory is always nice... Reality is that Socialist don’t care to play by the same rules the rest of us do.
I don’t think the school is on firm legal ground, now is the time to ABOLISH Qualified Immunity Nationwide so they can all enjoy Bankruptcy and Despair for the decisions they make.
Can’t speak nor teach truth when the public school’s goals are indoctrination for socialism/marxism/communism. No First Amendment protection for teachers who buck public school thuggery. DON”T CALL ME A WOMAN, I’M A PERSON!! Sick!
Homeschoolers should hire this man to teach their pods.
woman not man
My opinion is,,anyone using FB is an idiot.
What was being fostered throughout the last few decades was cleansing of thought to rid themselves of diversity of thinking. It hasn't taken teachers or students long to align themselves so as to keep their sinecures, with the possible exception of this particular social studies teacher. She's like John Podesta's presumed leaker, about whom he said in effect, It doesn't matter if [she's] guilty, make an example of [her]!
Obviously the Palatine school district has an employment condition that you are not allowed to be conservative.
Hope she is running for Senate. That was pretty tame if they read mine I would be in worse shape
