If you are dumb enough to approach a line of armed PEOPLE, touch or gesture towards in ANY way, and had been warned to back off, a little shove should be the least of your problems.
Especially if he didn’t know where the Police may be coming from or heading to.
I realize a stumble is a stumble BUT if he is (as has been indicated) a professional agitator, that stumble may have been rehearsed.
His legs seemed awful ‘straight’ when he landed, not akimbo as a stumble usually causes.

He was trying to steal the cops’ phone communication network. Now, how was he supposed to be stopped. I saw the video, he was merely pushed away. If someone were to grab at your wallet, how would you stop it?

He was not shoved. The cop lightly pushed him away from his personal space that he had violated, and then some. The fall was ridiculously fake.
