Minneapolis City Council members are expected to vote today on changes they plan on incorporating pertaining to the police department in the aftermath of George Floyds death.
The plan was still in the works on Thursday, according to Star Tribune. City officials and members of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights discussed the process of Mineappoliss probe meant to determine if the citys police department engaged in racial discrimination in the last 10 years. Today, officials are set to vote on a temporary injunction to immediately halt some MPD practices during an emergency meeting called by Mayor Jacob Frey. If approved, theyll need a judge to authorize it, which is likely to take place next week.
The timeline for the impact of the [temporary restraining order] is for this weekend. Its for immediate accountability measures for the Police Department. Its not meant to be anywhere near starting this bigger conversation, said Lisa Bender, the president of the city council.

LOL! Lets see how well it works out for this liberal crap hole. Can you say, Mogadishu!?
The business owners, shoppers, workers and honest populace will be gone in no time.
Then they can HAVE their ‘policeless’ hell on earth.
Bu by!!
Take care in what you wish for. Were I a Minneapolis city police officer, I would resign immediately and hire out to a county sheriff department somewhere in a Western state.
This is going to kick recruitment for the police academy that serves Minneapolis right in the head.
In the absence of any other legal authority, Minneapolis may very well turn to Sharia law, which would be enforced by the local mosques. That should go well.
Who would open a business in a police-free city?
Here comes Sharia Police.
Why hasn’t Chauvin been charged with a hate crime? If the police are so racist there must be mountains of evidence and stats.
Lord of the Flies...an island without adults.
Wait until they find out what that does to their tax base.
Good luck
Hi.
Does Minneapolis have both a Tiffany’s or Apple store? Gucci?
I believe I have some Delta miles left, and the First lady needs a new pair of “shoes.”

Minneapolis DEMs have controlled the city for years. They own the current police force. No one to blame but themselves. What they really need to do is dismantle the union, so poor policeman can be fired.
Go for it. Let Omar patrol the streets.
Dispatch: Armed assault, shots fired, multiple victims on Michigan Avenue. Perps drove off in a...
Patrol Officer: Who’s for another glazed?
Lightfootville 2020.
“What they really need to do is dismantle the union...”
Good luck with that. That’s one of the dem cash cows, not to mention that dems hate the idea of attacking a union more than they hate tax cuts.
I don’t know how we can live with these vile people for much longer.
You’re right. Mass exodus.
That’s when US taxpayers get slammed to support everyone who decided to remain in the s*&thole they made and that USED to be Minneapolis.
The list will grow too. Nice.
Help me here. So if NYC and the rest of the super blue municipalities defund the police and replace them with social workers, why do they need no bail laws when there is no one to set no bail for? In cases of a 311 call for rape in progress, is a therapist dispatched to the scene to help predator and victim work out their relationship “issues”? Will criminal defense attorneys have to learn how to code to stay off the unemployment line?
Let us turn an entire city into a self-insured zone. Is the Fire Department next? Are they going into an unsafe area without protection?
A wonderful experiment in street sociology, so long as it is far, far away from me!
Stop talking about it and Do It and lets time how long it takes to destroy a City
