Dr. Anthony Fauci Shuts Down Media: Trump Hasn’t Overridden Me, ‘Not Helpful’ to Pit Us Against Each Other
Breitbart News ^ | 3/24/2020 | Joshua Kaplan

Posted on 03/24/2020 8:29:42 AM PDT by Zenyatta

Appearing Tuesday on WMAL’s Morning on the Mall, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, accused D.C. journalists of attempting to pit him against President Donald Trump and affirmed there is no rift between himself and the president on how to combat the Chinese coronavirus outbreak.

I simply haven’t heard Dr. Fauci be hostile to the President. (I very well could have missed something). Trump seems to be acting like a leader giving cautioned hope and Fuaci seems to be acting like a scientist seeking facts. The last thing we need is scientists following government leaders to declare things facts. This is a no-brainer with so many issues that will be here in the next decade.

Fauci has been advising Trump to shut down our country.
Something he never did when Obama was President and the Swine
Flu got unleashed. He is the most responsible for creating panic
during Trump’s Presidency. But never created panic during Obama’s
swine flu years.
Plus he is a Hillary hack.

At least Bill Murray’s character learned from his mistakes.
Sort of...
I doubt any of these leftists would learn from their mistakes, With no gun to stop them, if a gang of illegals raped and murdered their under aged daughters right in front of them.
And then, as they were leaving, they robbed them.

I never saw or heard of him until the presser’s with Trump.

I think I might have heard of him before, but then again, he and his organization are not on my reading list.

Oh, I wonder why the media hounds have not attacked him for his “lies” and American deaths. As much as the media hate DJT, I think the media would jump and push the narrative that the guy is lying and Americans are dying. . .after all, nothing gives them a thrill up their leg like trapping Trump and making him and his administration look bad.

Cheers

Agree with you.

President Trump’s history includes giving vast sums of $$$$ to Democrat politicians. He has forgiven himself.

I’m judging Fauci on how he behaves today, and just the remarks he made today earn him forgiveness for supporting Hillary. Far as that goes, I don’t even care about that. Two of my daughters voted for Hillary. I never stopped loving them. Ever. I don’t require them to vote as I do, and I don’t think the President wants to surround himself with Yes-men and -women.

“Fauci should resign, or be fired.”

Wait until after the election.

You seem to think that President Trump works solely on ego, and listens to no one. That is simply not true either. He listens to everyone, and then he thinks about it and if his gut feeling is stronger to him then the arguments presented to him, he may go with his gut instincts. Turns out he has very good gut instincts and is right to ignore the advice of experts because their goals and priorities may be misplaced.

I for one think he has acted in a reasoned and measured manner in this difficult situation.

“He had been consistently agreeing with and supporting Trump all along including close the flights from China.”

No . He used unnecessarily harsh and dismissive language when asked about the malaria drug’s potential for covid-19 treatment. Said “No” and dismissed it with word, “anecdotal” - which laypeople take to mean, rumors or lies. In fact, there’s been a formal study in France, and there have been promising reports by individual doctors in USA and elsewhere. None of this is an FDA study, but Fauci could have said he’s looking forward to seeing it studied, or something that acknowledged the grounds for being hopeful.

From that moment on I haven’t liked this guy. The media WANT this drug treatment to not work, and most of them are not reporting on positive reports from some doctors, - and Fauci gave them the exact quote they needed.

At 79, why hasn’t he retired anyway?

Any rift between Fauci and Trump is Fauci’s fault and due to his less-than-respectful quotes all over the media.

He’s 79. Why is he still working in a full-time position? I could see him brought in as a senior consultant (along with others), but these agencies need to be headed by the most vigorous professionals on top of the latest changes, not ancient lifer bureaurcrats. Is his full-time status an example of why our disease bureaucracies have screwed up this crisis - they’re not getting the best new-blood experts to lead them?

“Well do your job”

Actually, he should step aside for a younger more vigorous, more state-of-the-art expert to take over. Fauci is 79 and has been there for 40 years. Talk about ossified bureaucracy in “action.” And you wonder why you can’t be tested for coronavirus, the creaky bureaucrats bungled the testing rollout.

Fauci is a TV hound diva. Obviously, thinks he is a star and retirement age does not apply.

“His lies have already killed scores of Americans,” falls into the category of Bush lied, people died, and “Trump’s dangerous rhetoric is getting people killed.” Lies don’t kill people, people kill people, or sometimes people die, but usually from some more tangible cause.
