The World Health Organization (WHO) tried to calm fears of a pandemic on Jan. 14 by repeating China’s claim that coronavirus was not contagious among humans.

“Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China,” the WHO tweeted.

This disease is currently spread throughout the world because of Chinese "wet" markets - the open-air slaughterhouses operated by the Chinese where rats, foxes, otters, pangolins and other wild animals are kept penned and are slaughtered on demand for customers to take home for their week's cooking. There are multiple reports that this new coronavirus was transmitted to humans from bats via the pangolins kept at wet markets in Wuhan, China.

Shanghai may be shiny, new and beautiful. But most of China is still a backward country filled with unsafe and un-hygenic practices. The PRC is busy trying to hide this fact behind political correctness, and of course our liberals are happy to help them do so.

My guess is that it was wishful thinking because China knows the outbreak came from a contamination of material from the Corona virus lab in Wuhan.

Not a bio weapon, legitimate research, but shoddy practice caused disposal procedure to not be followed.

It was an environmental contamination, not due to eating bats or wet market.

If China knew this it is reasonable that the infections might not be transmitable communally but one wouldn’t consider that unless it was known to have been started by biological environmental contamination.

This also would explain the videos of trucks spraying everywhere that we saw. It would be to disinfect the streets and other environment.

The above is of course speculation.
