Whether you like it or not, there’s plenty of evidence that the God of the Bible does not sanction same-sex relationships.
You may not interpret the Good Book that way. Perhaps you’ve got reasonable theological reasons for it.

My immediately reaction is 'what do they expect? If they are accepting federal funds - of course this is going to happen.' (?)
I'm not saying it's RIGHT that it should happen. I'm just thinking 'well of course ... if I were a religious institution, why would I accept government funds?'? If you make a deal with the devil, and the devil kills you or in some other way doesn't behave in the way you expected, that's implicit with a deal with the devil, sure it's wrong for the devil to kill you but ... what else would expect?"

there are countless poor quality, cherry-picked, only using half of a verse, rationalizations put forth for it.

There’s no such thing as freedom of religion anymore because there’s no such thing as freedom of belief.

It’s not just a “reasonable argument,” it is what the Bible uniformly teaches, all the way from the first book of the Bible, Genesis 19 (destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah for homosexuality) to the last book of the Bible, Revelation 22 (Jesus states that homosexuals (using the Jewish term “dogs” from Deuteronomy) and the sexually immoral will not enter Heaven).
True marriage equality is one man one woman, no matter your looks and wealth or attractiveness to either sex.

Federal law does not (yet) demand that recipients of any sort of federal aid are LGBTQ-friendly. This is part of the story here, as the gays are CLAIMING title IX demands no LGBTQ discrimination—which it does not. Some courts have INTERPRETED the law that way—but it was not the way it was written.
This is why it’s important we win this case...so that interprestion doesn’t foist LGBTQ stuff on the rest of the country.
If a religious school or seminary demands their students not cut the hair on their temples....(as Orthodox Jewish men practice), or anything else the rest of society disagrees with.... they need to be allowed to do so—otherwise freedom of religion is joke.

Thanks. Yeah I totally understand the importance and the right and wrong of it is clear to me.
I'm just saying ... what do you expect if you're a person or organization with any values? Why accept the money? You wouldn't take 'free' money from a psychotic heroin dealer and expect to continue to control your future, yet arguably that's a safer bet than accepting it from the government.
