RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) Protesters have gathered about 100 feet away from the arena where President Trump will be speaking Monday night.
The crowd has steadily grown in whats been designated as the Free Speech Zone across the street from the entrance where Trump supporters are heading into the Sana Ana Star Center. So far, the protests have been peaceful, with people holding handmade anti-Trump signs.
There has been some arguing back and forth with Trumps supporters and some chanting. People in this crowd believe Trump will not win over New Mexico.
Were all about love, were not about hate. We want to make sure we save the environment, asylum seekers have a place to go. That people are people and humans are humans and love is love, protestor Rayellen Smith said.
Rayelen Smith says she personally paid for a Park and Ride bus to make two trips from a library in Rio Rancho to the event for protesters to get here safely.

Yup, I’ve seen that. Another trick that TV “journalists” use when the protesters number less than a dozen, is to have them march in a circle, while the TV camera is set on the ground on the inside of the circle looking out, showing only the lower halves of the protesters. They can do this for quite some time while the narrator drones on & on, to make it look like there are 100s of protesters. They just have to ensure that none of the marchers is wearing anything so distinctive down below that the average viewer would quickly notice that: “Hey, how come I keep seeing that dude or dudette with the purple bell-bottoms over & over?”
And the majority of the signs were manufactured - wonder how many were paid to attend....
Cat herding.. Hehehe.. d;^)
