Agreed. The maniacs on that stage last week scared even folks who wanted gun restrictions. Images of the feds storming into anyone they wanted to houses to search for guns seemed just too possible.

One thing they're forgetting. A lot of votes they depend on, like minorities who live in dangerous neighborhoods and those with criminal records won't agree with this. They don't want the gov to be that rigid looking for illegal guns that some need to protect their homes.
