“Donald Trump is a racist, white supremacist, white nationalist. So are his supporters.” Some version of that refrain is heard almost hourly somewhere in mainstream media. Democratic politicians seem to proclaim it more often than that.
Listening only to the Left, you’d conclude that more than half a century after passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and more than a decade after the election of the first black president, the number of racists and white supremacists in America seems to be reaching levels not seen in a hundred years. (In reality, in 1930, when the nation’s population was approximately 130 million, the number of Klansmen was estimated to be 4 million. Today, the nation’s population is close to 330 million; the number of Klansmen is estimated to be 4,000.)
The rhetoric will get worse over the next year. Progressives and the mainstream media (but I repeat myself) lie about Trump’s remarks in Charlottesville to portray him as a Nazi sympathizer; they claim Michael Brown was “murdered” by a racist cop. Nearly every negative occurrence seems to be attributed to white supremacy stoked by Trump.

Some polls now show his(Trump) approval numbers at 25 percent among African-American voters and 50 percent among Hispanic voters. If those figures hold for the next 15 months, they will render Trump unbeatable in November of 2020.
I think the Dems are terrified of losing just part of the black vote. Black people’s unemployment numbers are way down. DJT engages advice from the minority community and abortions hurt the black community a lot. The Donald might be a lot of things but racist isn’t one of them and most white Americans aren’t either. The left can keep playing this tired old song but I think it’s pissing everyone off.

Fwiw, I have seen a “leaked” policy paper out of the DNC to a “party pro” of the DNCC that warns that IF President Trump can get 22% of Black voters to vote GOP in 2020, that the DIMocRATS are FINISHED for 2020. 2022 & in the elections thereafter.
I suspect, based on people that I known since kindergarten, that we can get 1/4-1/3 of the total Black vote.
(I essentially raised my kid sister, after our father died, when she was 9YO & therefore many of her friends are also mine.= 2 generations of school kids of my generation & my sister’s generation, too.)
As my sister was the head cheerleader in HS & about half of the cheerleaders & pep squad were Black, we have many longtime friends in the Black community in my home county.
(Additionally, I was raised by a black governess, who loved me unreservedly. I loved her & her own family in return. = Children don’t CARE what color that anyone is. = HATE, BIGOTRY & SUSPICION are LEARNED.)
All these long years later, “Sister’s” eldest daughter “Ruthie” & I are still “close” & the years fall away when we see each other, even for a few minutes if/when I’m visiting my hometown.
(Neither Ruthie’s husband, Dr. Walker, nor my lady understand Ruthie & I hugging/kissing each other when we are reunited but the 2 of us understand.= We were together much of the time from kindergarten until we both went off to college.)
Note: For NON-Southerners “of a certain age”, ALL of us who had a Black governess LOVE the book/movie, THE HELP & identify with the Black “maids” & the young white woman’s love for Constantine.

A lot depends on which state you are talking about, and the divide among male and female black voters.
There is some suggestion in the south, that almost fifty percent of black males are likely to vote for Trump....although much less so for black females. One surprising item is that the daughter of Martin Luther King has come out to be pro-Trump and really put harsh words down on those who accuse him of being racist. That really harms the Democratic strategy.
The bigger question to ask....is there anyone from the 20-odd Democrats to really excite black voters, and the general answer is ‘no’.
The leftists that claim trump is nazi who has seized our government would like same government to now confiscate private firearms.

"I had a chance to meet with President Trump, and I told him please call out Elijah Cummings and Baltimore. I asked him to do that three weeks ago and he did it," the former NFL linebacker said on Fox Nation’s “Deep Dive.” Brewer explained he was motivated to reach out to Trump after a visit to Baltimore. “I'm seeing these kids that don't have any core, no culture within them. They don't have anyone teaching them or training them," he said. Brewer, who went on to a successful business career after his playing days, blames the politicians in Baltimore for focusing only on "issues that help them raise money," instead of the issues plaguing the "poor black kids whose parents are not donating to their PACs and funds."
Brewer called out Cummings directly for being "front and center" when it's politically convenient and questioned his lack of action in his own city. Referencing the two horrific mass shootings this past weekend that took 31 lives, he questioned why the 51 people shot in Baltimore and Chicago the same weekend went unnoticed. "We look and see all the hype over El Paso, my heart goes out to them, my heart goes out to Dayton, Ohio. President Trump recently called out Cummings’ disrespect of Border Patrol agents while drawing attention to the conditions in Baltimore. “Rep. Elijah Cummings has been a brutal bully, shouting and screaming at the great men & women of Border Patrol about conditions at the Southern Border, when actually his Baltimore district is FAR WORSE and more dangerous. His district is considered the Worst in the USA,” the president tweeted.
"His district is considered the Worst in the USA. As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming[s'] District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place."
Trump added: "Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen?" Trump added. "Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!"
