I was struck by the fact that though his purported reason for attending was to observe and report on the audience, the article is relatively light on anything to observable from the press pit. He seems to have only talked to one single person and that person simply reinforced his notion that Trump supporters were brainwashed followers that simply accept and believe whatever Trump says.
