Trump is on the path to reelection
The Hill ^ | July 26, 2019 | Joshua Sandman

In a recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, many Americans reported that they are dissatisfied with President Trump and find his behavior grossly offensive. Yet Trump appears on course for reelection.

Why? First, a good economy. Presidents who preside over a strong economy are favored to be reelected.

Second, Trump is a master at gaining media attention and dominating narrative. Reality TV gave Trump an understanding of what plays well on broadcast media. His unfiltered tweets lay out his agenda, attack opponents and directly communicate with the national audience.

Third, presidential elections are determined by state electoral votes, not by popular vote. Trump maintains strong support in key battleground states in the industrial Midwest and in traditional Republican-leaning states.

You left out the part, that he’s running against a bunch of clowns that need a map to find their UN-American arses. IMO

Don’t get too complacent. They have brought millions of illegals in to vote next year.

Unless you are a governor that turned a state around COMPLETELY, and it was national news often...

How do you beat a sitting president who has made the economy explode and who has not dragged us into any conflicts?

Even then it would be a long shot for a governor

It’s VERY hard.

I still think this might be our last election. After this, there will be changes. I see a ton of leftists ready to take to arms.

And if one these lefties get in, same goes for us. Im worried.

A bit.

I wonder about how much influence illegals will have. I’m not complacent, we need DJT to keep everyone rev’d up. The Republican Governors need to clean up their voting conduct in their states. The Dems have someone to challenge but it’s none of the current clowns. I don’t think the person is on the radar yet. I hope Trump can keep the energy going, we’re still 16 or so months out. He has to keep things moving forward. The deck stacked by the uniparty against him, it can’t be easy.

Unfortunately too many of us need to be put into a seething rage in order to be motivated to vote.

If the Dems take the Presidency, and both houses of Congress in 2020, they will then aggressively push far leftist legislation similar to what the Communist / Socialist / Secularists did in Spain in the few years leading up to the Spanish Civil War in 1936.

This could trigger a full-blown rebellion to leave the USA or get the ball rolling finally on a mutual divorce between the Blue and Red states. The Red half would keep the flame of ordered liberty burning for another century, but I think the blue half will become more like Canada or western Europe where Islam grows and the balkanization continues.

It’s probably going to be a rough ride for now till this tension comes to a head.

All future GOP candidates for President will need to be real cage-fighters like Trump to defeat or trim back the excesses of the ‘Deep State’ and Globalist powers.

Otherwise, local militias will start to form up of normal Americans and the Leftist federal government will try to force their changes which will lead to conflict.

A LOT can happen in 14 months. Or ONE month.

A lot of even dirtier plays will be coming from dems and if it was verified that they got 5 million illegals to vote last time maybe next time it’s 10 million.

Gonna be more like a boxing match than a waltz, IMHO

But i could be very wrong :)

In other words, Trump isn’t responsible for anything good, but just happens to be in the right place at the right time and enough of a huckster to cash in on it. Orangemanbad!

Even if true these illegals are in states already voting for whatever Democrat is on the ballot. The number of electors each state has is already fixed. So if a million illegals in California for a Democrat how does that change the results?

>> You sound concerned.

Someone else on here was concerned about complacency. There is altogether too much concern being expressed.
