President Donald Trump's sole Republican primary challenger, former Gov. Bill Weld, said Wednesday that his campaign raised $688,000 from donations during the second quarter of 2019.
The Weld campaign told ABC News that since jumping into the race in mid-April, they've raised short of $700,000 from 7,000 total donors. And on top of supporter contributions, the former Massachusetts governor also poured $181,000 of his own money into the campaign, bringing the second quarter total to $869,000. The average donation for the quarter was $98, according to the campaign.

All from Bill Kristol no doubt.
All you need to know about Weld is that in 2005, he tried to run as governor of NY. He said he wanted to bring back graffiti. I am NOT making that up.
Weld’s style of politics would sell well here in the South /s
NOT!
Who has a spare $100 to throw at Bill Weld for President campaign?..
Y
He was a US Attorney (Boston) under Reagan. First term, iirc.
Guess all of his lost weekends put a dint in his post-political career as a novelist.
He didn’t to my knowedge take up with Guilfoil until his wife had filed for divorce. I was under the impression the wife couldn’t hadle the threats they received from the left.
Sometimes that. Sometimes ego. Sometimes as part of a more strategic play against another candidate.
“I think I’d be more worried if Pee Wee Herman threw his hat in the ring.”
He’s been dropping a bit in the polls, particularly after that police shooting in South Bend.
“Is there any way Weld will qualify for a debate with Trump?”
Trump doesn’t need to bother with him, so it’s not going to happen - no debate. He, like the others who either talked about running or are still running (I don’t even know who they are - Is Mr. Postman still running?) are only in it for the case of Trump leaving office early in some way. They all knew going head-to-head against Trump was hopeless.
Since Trump, now, won’t be removed by impeachment, as the Senate isn’t about to let that happen, their only hope now is Trump is removed by some other means...pretty sick thing to hope for.
“Unfortunately, Ivanka following her dad as President would be like GHW Bush following Reagan. Shed undo all the good that was done by her father and a Demonrat would follow her after a single, disastrous term.”
I personally would vote against her in the Primary, and maybe even in the General, at least based on what I know about her now - but perhaps she’ll grow up in the meantime.
But I also think the odds of her running are next to nothing, she’ll quickly find that she has no base of support.
Weld first ran on the left-wing RINO ticket for MA Attorney General in 1978 (the Conservative ticket in that instance was headed by then-Democrat Ed King, who had just defeated the execrable leftist freshman Democrat Gov. Dukakis). The Republicans were trying to get the Dukakis Moonbats to cross over to vote for them. He got all of less than 22% of the vote.
As a left-winger, hiring him at Justice was a disastrous decision, as he was really a closet Demonrat agent and Clintonista (close Hillary confidante back to their service on the Watergate Witch Hunts).
Good grief. The story tries to paint raising 700K as if that’s supposed to be an impressive feat for a presidential run. They need to add some roll-eye smiley faces to their anti-Trump propaganda.
Ivanka and her husband Jared have been responsible for some really bad policy influencing of her father. She should focus on running a company in the private sector because otherwise, she’s simply on the wrong side of most issues, especially social.
An excellent impression of what he did to the MA GOP on his watch (and that KY college he destroyed in 10 months flat).
waiting for the son of a mail carrier to announce.
Tell me about it regarding Javanka...but we get the ‘whole package’ with Trump, and thankfully he’s also close to Rush and Sean, and that does often shows in some of what he does (at least to me).
Am I supposed to be impressed by this nobody?
I’ve never been impressed with Sean Hannity. His creepy “bromance” with Derp State traitor Willard the Rat way back when was enough for me to see he was not very bright or perceptive.
