John Bolton: 'Substantial' belief five countries spreading lies on Trump team dysfunction

by Daniel Chaitin | June 11, 2019 12:41 PM

National security adviser John Bolton named five countries he believes are spreading lies about dysfunction in the Trump administration.

“We have substantial reason to believe that North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Russia, and China have made a decision to — and you can see it publicly — to try to sow disinformation about the administration, and to say that the president and his advisers are divided, and things like that,” Bolton said Tuesday during a Wall Street Journal event in Washington, D.C.

Asked about reports about President Trump appearing to break with him on North Korea and Iran, Bolton blamed the media in the U.S. for spreading the misinformation. “The stenographers of these regimes in the American press immediately pick it up,” he said.

Nothing to do with bashing America, plenty of other western countries hopped on that bandwagon (or rather, the political elites did). Can anyone honestly say Bolton’s chums actually did any good in the middle east other than make lots of money for shareholders of the likes of Halliburton, Aegis etc?

The whole class of politicians who did that, Blair, Bush Jr, Cheney, Bolton etc are part of the swamp serving the interests of a corporate global elite rather than ordinary folks of any national stripe, especially not the 100,000s of civilians who have died directly or indirectly as a result of their hard on for expeditionary warfare.

I’ll stick with Bolton over the Russian, N. Korea, Venezuela,Iranian, Cuba worshippers here on FR. Add China to that mix too.

Your post is Very similar to what the revisionist leftist, code pink, Demo enemedia has been saying ever since: that it was all Republican neocon war for profit.

Shame for repeating that blood libel.

LOL. Hardly. Ironically enough he dodged the draft by joining the national guard like many other privilaged scions, including his contemporary Dubya. As he said himself: “I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy” Although he also stated he was a staunch supporter of the Vietnam War a few years earlier. Yet he was happy to send younger generations of soldiers into the meat grinder to further the corporate interests of his pals.

Technically, of course, Trump from his undergraduate Wharton degree is Ivy League as well, and certainly Kushner fits your definition: Ivy League globalist pr!cks running this nation’s foreign policy.

But I know what you mean.

Bolton is a soldier.

LMAO.

That dude would convert to Islam and set himself on fire before he'd even think of putting on a military uniform.

I voted for Donald Trump because I really want the days of draft dodgers sending other people off to war to come to an end in this country.

I did not dodge the draft, I volunteered.

Not sure which is dumber.

I see Trump as a volunteer

Leftists merely opposed the war because of their hatred of the right, neocon or otherwise. They were fine with war when it was pursued by Obama in Syria and backing up his buddies David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy and their war to ruin Libya. They are hypocrites.

You don’t have to be a leftist to oppose wars that served corporate rather than national interests. These people are globalist scum and the fact they wrapped up the pursuit of these wars as an act of patriotism demonstrates just how low they really are.

No.

We do not need a Trump Tweet Scrubber.

President Trump’s tweets are brilliant just as they are.

—He end runs around the DS media and communicates directly with us.

—Via good timing and showmanship, he grabs control of the news cycle and dominates it whenever he wants to by ramping up the pearl clutching.

—he endears his base to him even more by tweeting in plain, unscrubbed, often grammatically imperfect language. For once, JQP does not feel resentful for the constant condescension pouring out of political *elites*,

He supported the Vietnam War. But he didn’t want to put his money where his mouth was. And no, I wouldn’t have. I wouldn’t have volounteered for the Vietnam War because it was another BS war but I wouldn’t have dodged the draft to avoid serving either. The man is hypocrite being gung ho for war yet skiving out of serving in a warzone.

Trump also defered, but at least he was a critic of the swamp dweller’s hardon for corporate instigated wars in the middle east and has tried to avoid it as much as possible, although that is probably changing somewhat with people like Bolton wielding their evil influence. I don’t know why he is keeping him around. Maybe he thinks he can mitigate their influence by having one in the cabinet in order to placate them somewhat.

If that disgraceful display of arrogance doesn't convince you that Bolton is part of the Deep State, then I don't know what else to say.

Trump now needs your advice on his selections? You've been here for a week, and you 'know' one thing and that is, "You don't know what else to say", so take your own advice and...

STFU

My take on Bolton is that he may be aggressive with his foreign policy, but he’s not a globalist. He’s pro-American. Big difference.
