New Hampshire’s 2020 presidential primary is still more than eight months away. The two dozen candidates now in the race haven’t even faced off yet in debates. But the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is already over.
The winner: Joe Biden.
While the media will play up the expansive field — there are now 24 candidates vying for the nomination — and pretend there’s some kind of horse race (for ratings, of course), President Trump knows the game is done.
“Looks like Bernie Sanders is history. Sleepy Joe Biden is pulling ahead and think about it, I’m only here because of Sleepy Joe and the man who took him off the 1% trash heap, President O!” Trump wrote Monday on Twitter.
Let’s go to the numbers.
Mr. Sanders, who had been hovering around 23% in Real Clear Politics’ (RCP) poll average, plunged to about 15% when the former vice president entered the race. The latest Fox News poll puts Biden at 35% (up from 31% in March) and Sanders in a distant second, with 17% (down from 23%).
RCP puts together a running average of all polls. Here’s how that looks right now: Biden 38.3%; Sanders 18.8%; Sen. Elizabeth Warren 8.5%; Sen. Kamala Harris 7.3%; Mayor Pete Buttigieg 7.0%; former Rep. Robert “Beto” O’Rourke 3.8%; and Sen. Cory Booker 2.5%. The rest of the also-rans are polling at less than 2%.

Its too soon for the real competition to begin. A political showdown will happen among the candidates. The bloodier the better.

Powder Puff Pete is by far, the smartest person by at least half that’s riding in the D clown Car of candidates this year.. as such I suspect him to have a very good chance at being the nominee in 2024. I don’t think he’s dumb enough to think he can win in 2020 as no D will win in 2020 (short of a complete economic collapse).
He’ll build up his national network and meet the money men, but I don’t see him sticking around for the nomination this time. Just set the stage for next time.

I think it all depends on whether any of the other clowns on bus decide to use the ammo dump that Slo Joe has built up over the years to attack him. The stooges in the media won’t bring any of up. In the first debate any of them can knock ten points of the lead by just saying Ukraine.

Nah, my record is like anyones... Mixed at best.. it’s gotten better with time, but hardly great.
I do believe however, there is ZERO chance that any D, short of an economic collapse ( or some unforeseen catastrophic event ) can win in 2020.
Trump will take every state he got in 16, and a few more, and that’s just the baseline... Depending on who the candidate ends up being, his numbers will only go UP from there.

The problem with Joe Biden is, he is like Hillary Clinton, he does not have the Stamina, Smarts, Endurance or, Charm like Trump. Shucks...Biden spoke at his “Kick Off” gig for a mere twenty minutes to a paltry crowd in Philadelphia that had hardly any African-Americans in it!!! Trump averages about 60 to 90 minutes at every political rally he holds!!!
