Losertarians always looking to drain votes from whoever the GOP nominates.
You can bet that those who hate Trump will try to encourage third-party candidates to drain votes from him. Hopefully there will be the equivalent ‘alternative’ candidates drawing away votes from the Democrat nominee.
Amash is a tool for the left and is part of the plan to divide the Republican vote.
Justin Amash is neither Republican nor libertarian. He has abandoned any principles that define either one of them.
He is now full-blooded RINO and a closet Progressive. It would not be surprising to learn he has also become Muslim, though I doubt it for the moment.
:: drain votes from whoever the GOP nominates ::
2 things...
1. Trump has the nom sewn-up. Amash has come out against Trump so any votes he gets will be stealth votes in the primary. They will be small.
2. Amash should watch the Trump Rally that was held IN HIS DISTRICT a few short weeks ago to help his decision. Maybe he should watch it twice.

It appears the strategy of the anti-trumpets in the GOP, possibly in collusion with the Democrats and Soros, is going to be denying Trump the win in 2020 by running an independent to take away enough moderate GOP votes to shift the popular vote to Dems in close states.
Trump actually lost the popular vote in 2016 and had margins of less than 2% in Ohio and Florida. Demographic shifts mean about 1/3 of the electorate will be non-white in 2020 and the Hispanic vote will exceed the black vote for the first time. Assuming the white vote is about 2 percentage points less, a third party libertarian/moderate Republican siphons 2-5% of the GOP vote in some close states Trump won in 2016 (Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Florida), and the Democrats spend an inordinate amount of money in those states to get out the vote, Trump can lose.
Ralph Nader cost Al Gore the 2000 election in the state of Florida. Had he not been running as a Green Party candidate, most of the Green votes would have gone Democrat and Gore’s vote total would have exceeded George W. Bush.
In a number of state elections in recent years, progressive groups have facilitate the running of a third party candidate for the sole purpose of siphoning votes from the GOP candidate in the general election with considerable success.
Republican women are most vulnerable to the emotional appeal of a moderate candidate. Many think Trump is a bully or worse.
