They are desperate for white male leadership when they contemplate the alternative. Queers and women and half blacks.

If this is true, it's a sign that the party bigwigs, whoever they are, aren't as determined to have an African-American or a woman on the ticket as some people think.

Of course, the donors are the money people, not the officeholders who will become superdelegates, but money talks.

When Biden flamed out of the 1988 primary campaign it was the combination of plagiarism charges (amplified by 60 Minutes) and the CSPAN video of him confronting a member of the audience after he spoke to a group in New Hampshire. This may be ancient history to some, but I think it is the complete Achilles heel of Joe Biden. On the plagiarism charges - it was regarding documents he claimed to have authored at Syracuse Law School, and the famous Neil Kinnock speech he delivered entire sections of as his own (including talking about his exhausted father retuning from the coal mines - Kinnock's father was a coal miner, Biden's never was one.) Imagine an explanation for that - my teleprompter failed or my staff screwed up? No, that does not work. The only explanation implies that Biden is one sick narcissist who thinks he can put anything over on an audience.

The confrontation with the audience member in New Hampshire was even more disturbing. He confronted a citizen who challenged him on a particular issue in that campaign. Biden's response is a chilling display of arrogance. He basically claims to have won awards, to have served on Law Reviews, and to have won scholarships and held high class rankings - none of which was true - in order to say "I'm better than you, I'm smarter than you, therefore I win this argument." It was appalling.

I saw it on CSPAN's "A Day on the Campaign Trail with ______" that ran in late 2017 or early 2018. I am a recovering CSPAN junkie, but back then I watched it all the time. I still recall what I was doing at the time - filing out materials for law school applications with the TV on in the corner of the room - and there was Joe Biden being followed around New Hampshire. Having breakfast on main street, glad-handing people all over, speaking here, speaking there, the usual. Then he speaks to a group of teachers, and on the way out he confronts the audience member.

There is no possible innocent explanation for what he chose to say in that moment. It was not a short flash of anger, an excited expletive. It was an argument composed of falsehoods that stretched over several minutes.

No person who behaved like that, who uttered those remarks, is qualified to be President. If he makes it to the nomination - this is the Kryptonite that destroys him. It shows the core of the man's character, and you really want to look away.

Dems continue to shower male candidates with cash...

What color is this so-called "shower"?

The radical-left won’t like this. Three white guys taking all the cash.

Showers of gold.

Democrats do that kind of thing.

Some think that the $6.1 million supposedly raised by Bobby O’Rourke included money left over from his failed Senate race, money that O’Rourke had returned to the democrats that they in turn gave back to O’Rourke once he declared.

But what will Biden, Bernie, and Beto do with the millions being poured into their campaigns, except use it to pay for opposition research to destroy their opponents, or to pay advisors to think up outlandish proposals like allowing felons to vote.

If any of the Democratic presidential hopefuls had any positive messages to impart to voters they’d be all over Iowa and New Hampshire imparting them. But how can a Democrat make the usual promises of more jobs and more prosperity when the Trump economy has already created virtual full employment and a booming economy? Will we even hear the words ‘’employment,” “the economy,” or “jobs” from the mouths of Democrats when all they do is remind voters of what a good job Trump is doing?

Despite the DNC, the candidate is going to be Joe Biden. The conspiracy to oust him to replace him with either Beto or Bettigieg will fail. The public will prevail.
