So far, so good. Far-left socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, 29, has managed to P.O. more Democrats with her tweets, her latest one going after the age of Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, 76, who said he didn't think she was the future of the Democratic Party. With characteristic class, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted this to Lieberman: "New party, who dis?"
To be fair, Lieberman started it: "With all respect, I certainly hope she's not the future and I don't believe she is," said Lieberman, who was the Democratic Party's vice presidential nominee in the 2000 election.
All respect? I didn't read any "all respect" in that one. I read "all disgust." The "future" Lieberman refers to was clearly in reference to Ocasio-Cortez's youth, because let's face it: youth is always the future. She returned fire, "pooping on" (as Whoopi Goldberg likes to say) another one.
It's her party's own doing. She unwittingly reminded everyone that Democrats really do have an age problem. They would rather that not be noticed. But they do. They are the party of the establishment. They are the party of dinosaurs. Their leadership is positively Jurassic. Few new voices or faces have made their way into leading positions now that Nancy Pelosi (age 78) has retaken the House speaker's gavel. Old Democrats hoard power and take it seriously, shutting out the young. Everyone can notice it, except them.
Even the Democrats' policies piling on government debt for the young to pay; driving up health care costs for the young, who don't use much health care (and, as Mitch McConnell himself once told a group of us when I was working at a newspaper, that comes right out of state education budgets); minimum wage hikes, which kick away the lowest rungs on the jobs ladder.....

Pickles is one enemy among the great many out there, no question.
Fort Marcy is a classic example of what happens to people who cross the harridan.
When she is finally room temperature, we’ll all be better off.
I was just thinking, if she stays in the House for 5 years, she will get full retirement. Giffords does, since those in charge kept saying she was competent to vote in the House. As she made her 5 years, we pay her full retirement.
Sounds like The Botoxans occasional Kotex needs a change.
Good for her, any politician who is willing to primary the careerist is “either” party is doing some bit of good.
AOC is fun to follow. Glad she's theirs.
AOC’s for short.
Well Mitch McConnell and Lyndsey Graham aren’t exactly spring chickens. Apparently, your meant to die if office before you relinquish your seat. Not sure how lucid a lot of these people are any more.
Trump was elected because the Republicans REFUSED to keep the promises they made in their speeches. AOC is has popped up because the Democrats have refused to look to and prepare their party for the future. The keadership think ONLY of themselves. I’ve been wondering for 15 yrs where the young blood of the D party was.
Since most young people lack the ability to communicate and debate without texting, and can only think in limited words and characters they dont engage or learn from people that threaten their lack of intellect. Young people not only shut you out, but unless you hook them in on their level, they happily swhipe you out of their consciousness.
I wish people would stop using the term AOC. It is nothing but a marketing ploy, to spread her name and uniqueness as far and wide as possible. We contribute free advertising to her brand every time we use it
More and more it sounds like she is going to get “Hillaried”.
It seems like Lieberman came out of nowhere to comment. Is there another reason he appeared on Fox?
She may be a hiugeb gift - the primaries now have a couple of dem women and some old white guys...should be a fun cat fight/white guy slam fest with the “Occasionally Lucid One” adding the extra pizza toppings.
She is the future of the democrat party. No doubt about it.
Sadly, you are probably right. Reagan leads America to win the Cold War, and the USSR dissolves under Republican leadership, but the nation elects Clinton. Churchill leads England to victory in WWII, and loses the first post-War election.
Given the effects ‘Smart’ phones and technology has had on society, sometimes I think an EMP strike would be a blessing in disguise..
