STORM LAKE, Iowa A Minnesota supporter of President Donald Trump is facing a disorderly conduct charge stemming from a weekend altercation at an Iowa rally for Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
Photos from Warren's rally Saturday in Storm Lake show 58-year-old Randal Thom, of Lakefield, Minnesota, carrying a sign that read "Keep America Great" which was a reference to Trump's "Make America Great Again" 2016 campaign slogan.
Police say Thom was involved in an argument with supporters of the Massachusetts senator that turned physical, and that some punches were thrown. There were no injuries and no one else was arrested...

Why do the words ‘plant’ and ‘hoax’ pop into my mind?................
Probably hired by Brad Woodhouse..
Craig Livingstone?.......................
Same here.
who threw the punches and why? This great piece of journalism left out the pertinent facts.
I live and work in this town, and the press is NOT telling the whole story. The Trump supporter was outside, minding his own business, holding a Trump sign, and someone from the rally came out and ripped the it out of his hands and started a fight. The Trump supporter was arrested of course, he said yep I hit the guy with my selfie stick in self-defense, and he was out an hour later. The media refuses to tell the truth.
With the number of people who have been killed while taking selfies recently, it wouldnt surprise me if they charged him with attempted murder.
Your thinking is way ahead of the average guy on the street.
And you know darn well there’s video of the whole encounter somewhere . . .

Oh I’m sure of it! And it’s been hidden well. The community of Storm Lake..where I grew up..has rapidly become a Hispanic town..Little Tijuana I call it. More than 80% of the school population is Hispanic..there hasn’t been a white Homecoming King or Queen in years. So this town is celebrated for its diversity..one of the most diverse towns in Iowa! Yeah, what a crock. It’s a crime-ridden crap hole now. Not the quiet, safe town I grew up in. So anything that would paint Storm Lake in a bad light would quickly be covered up.
Sounds like a plot device from the next "Fargo" season. They always work in a political angle.
There's been a lot of that happening in Iowa. I haven't been in Storm Lake for over 25 years, but two years ago a friend had to go over there for some sort of weekend event and came back referring to it as "Lago del Stormo" (which is bad pidgin Spanish but apparently reasonably illuminating).
Do they still have a packing plant driving all the "diversifying?"
Probably its because your concept of activism is limited to posting articles and memes on the internet.
Conservatives need to go outside more.
Do they still have a packing plant driving all the “diversifying?”
Yep. 2 of them.
I say hes a bum hired by Democrats.
There are other reports that make no mention of Trump. I suspect the AP is full of it.
On a related note: never get into a confrontation with leftists without at least one friend to video it. Because not only will Democrats charge you if you are the victim, but you will be vilified by the media as well.
As a special note: be armed to the limit of what is legal. It is great if you also wear a reasonably priced stab and slash resistant shirt.
Yep. 2 of them.
I thought so, but wasn't sure. The last time I was actually in SL, the natives were still being reassured by the big wheels that nothing could go wrong bringing in Laotians, or Mexicans, or Ruritanians, etc. I suppose if you were one of the ruling class, nothing actually did go wrong... at least nothing that mattered.
Nothing like a post-1970's packing plant to turn a town into a ****hole.
Yep. RoadSnacks says it’s the most ‘ghetto’ town in Iowa. Marshalltown’s about as bad.
