PDJT has done many good things in his presidency, but my highest marks go for his courage to do something about the horrendous trade deficits. We have lost as many as 40 million middle class manufacturing jobs due to trade deficits. You can not have a strong country without a strong and productive middle class engaged in manufacturing. Service industry ain't the path to long term greatness and prosperity.

Actually I didn’t vote for Trump either, nor did I vote for George W Bush, or Dole, or George HW Bush, etc, etc.

In every case I voted AGAINST the idiot anti-American morons they were running against. In fact about the only President I can say I actually voted for was Reagan when running for his second term. For his first term I would have voted for Satan before I would have voted for that idiot from Georgia. Ditto for ‘the bent one’ zero, and the hildabeast.

Pat Buchanan brought this up back in the 90’s, saying, “The rest of the world and the elites are content with the US being the cops and the farmers.”

Life is tough and buy voting is easy. You provide others with your opinion and are somewhat informed, what was he problem? Trump is the same person he has been for years and has competed items on his campaign so that is not the problem. Have you asked yourself if you are honest? Maybe the problem is you?

“I voted for what’s-his-name from New Mexico”

Gary Johnson? He went libertarian. Good article, though. It kinda makes you feel all warm inside...

I didn’t vote for Donald Trump. I was afraid his obviously improvised campaign, imprecise explanations concerning how he planned to achieve his policy goals, and unsettling antics presaged a disastrous one-term presidency if he somehow managed to win.

Elections involve comparative choices. So this guy thought Hillary Clinton was a better choice?

I voted for President Trump and will do so again in 2020. When he rode the elevator downstairs at Trump Tower, I immediately decided he was what America needed. He has not disappointed me one bit. I just feel sorry for him now as I don’t think he really knew exactly what was in store for him by the press and the Deep State. He’s grown into his job and he has my 100% support.

While many people claim to like Trump’s policies, while disliking his personality, I was the opposite when he was running during the primaries. I was skeptical of how conservative he was, but I’ve always liked the guy’s personality. He shoots from the hip and doesn’t mince words. And he backs up his bragging by being a doer and a workaholic. On the other hand, I disliked Obama immediately. Even before he ran for president when he was being talked up as a future Contender, I got bad vibes from him. I guess different kinds of personalities appeal to different kinds of people.

Better late than never.
Better never late.

I voted for Trump. And I did my best to sell him to Freepers. I put together, “21 reasons why Trump is a conservative”.

He was the only one in either party talking about trade policy.
He was the only one saying you need to fix the economic engine in order to pay for all the commitments you’ve made.

I was a little worried about his role model on social issues. He ran casinos. But I knew the economy needed to be fixed badly. And I’ve been really pleasantly surprised as Trump has stepped up to the plate and led the nation with humble prayers.

“I was surprised when Trump won. But that was nothing compared to the astonishment I experienced when it dawned on me that he’s a remarkably effective President”

IOW, you were astonished to discover that you are stupid.

You should have figured that out long ago.

Dunning Kruger again.

I don’t see how anyone could have failed to see what a strong conservative President Trump was going to be. All you had to do is look at who hated him from the get-go.

He attracted all the right enemies from the beginning. If he was really nothing but an incompetent reality show buffoon, who stumbled into the Presidency by chance, there would not be so many factions desperate to destroy him.

No, Trump is and always has been a real threat to the Left - and he has wounded them. They are pretending to be unhurt hoping he’ll give up - but that’s not going to happen.

The best days of Trump winning are still ahead of us.

“So, knowing that Trump would win my deep red state anyway...”

I’ll never understand that logic or rational - who knows how an election will go?

The best president I didn’t vote for—as in I voted for his opponent—was Reagan. (I was young and indoctrinated.)

But I’ve taken advantage of both opportunities I’ve had to vote for Trump so far!

The best President I DID vote for... so I think I can figure these things out better than a self-appointed pundit.
