Following the death of George H.W. Bush, who passed away on Friday at the age of 94, many politicians and his children shared heartfelt tributes to the late 41st president of the United States.
I already miss the greatest human being that I will ever know, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush wrote on Twitter Saturday morning. Love you Dad!
Mere moments after his fathers death was announced, former President George W. Bush also shared a heartwarming tribute to his father and to his parents love on Instagram....

True, like I said, my personal experience is the reason I am curious.
It is hard to say. In my case, we knew my Dad could go at any time, in an hour, a day, a week, or more. We needed to help out my Mom with some important support, and I needed to get to Dad’s old bank. (Mom & Dad were divorced & at the time of his death. We had moved Dad to a facility close to us, B4 he was (repeatedly) hospitalized, but Mom was 1-1/2 hrs. away, and housebound.) I’d talked to the nurse, who said Dad seemed fairly stable and we should go ahead and see Mom briefly. We did, and sure enough, we got the call that Dad was suddenly in trouble, and we’d better get there. We did - about 30 minutes too late. :-(
I suspect my Dad did not go entirely peacefully - maybe it was all for the better. I was with him when pneumonia nearly took him several months earlier - a horrible struggle to witness - one of the worst nights of both our lives.

He had stopped eating and told staff he didn’t want to return to the hospital in late November.
Essentially in home hospice.
Sorry to hear that.
I guess my comments appeared more critical than I intended.
Please, I beg you, no more Bush.
When I was buying flowers for Mothers funeral, the florist asked if I wanted a sign saying something like, BELOVED MOTHER. I Replied,No - just, MOTHER' - you cant say more than that."Try to amplify it, and all you would do is suggest something less, not more, than MOTHER."
Three words: Willie Horton Ad. The left never forgave him for putting out a factually accurate and devastatingly impact ad that told the truth about their weakness on crime. He was the worst racist in a generation, and so elitist that he didn't care about anyone but rich people. Why he even looked at his watch in the debate with Clinton, proving he didn't care.
That is, until they found a way to use him to trash Trump. Now he was a classy statesmen, one of our finest presidents and a paragon of civility and decorum, such a stark contrast to the current President. Disgusting how these people function, and disappointing that Americans fall for it.
I gottta say that Tower is freaking me out, lol!
Any FReeper knowledgeable about this?

I have noticed so much anti-GHWBush information on the Internet it is puzzling.
What is going on?
Where there is smoke.......
You can see it in person if you ever drive through Gaffney, SC on I-85.
I must say, the video at the site was an excellent overview of the personality so loved by his family.
Uh, don't click. Some of us work hard all week and want to catch up as the weekend begins.
BUSH
Meaning absolutely nothing. A close friend had her father living in her house at the end. She was with him until minutes before he passed. Somehow, he was bound and determined for her not to be in the room with him when he went. According to his caregiver, as soon as his daughter left the room, he passed.
