Sen. Jeff Flake appeared on the View today and said he wasnt sure if he believed Dr. Christine Blasey Ford or Judge Brett Kavanaugh, an answer that didnt sit well with most of the shows hosts.
Of course, all of the ladies on the show approved of Flakes decision to demand an FBI investigation after he was confronted in an elevator by a couple of activists. But the conversation turned when Joy Behar asked if the FBI investigation merely gave Flake cover to vote for Kavanaugh. Flake pushed back a bit, noting that the Anita Hill FBI investigation only took four days. He added that the Kavanaugh investigation was, thorough for the scope that it was and claimed it was also illuminating though he wouldnt say how exactly.
Co-host Sunny Hostin then asked, Did you believe Dr. Blasey Fords testimony under oath before the committee?
She was very compelling. He was very persuasive, Flake said.
Behar asked why Flake wanted to stick with Kavanaugh if there was any doubt about him. Flake said it would set a dangerous precedent if a mere allegation was enough to disqualify someone.
So you didnt believe her, Hostin said.
I dont know, Flake replied adding, I dont know if I believed him either.
Flake then pointed out that he was one of just a few Senators who didnt announce how they planned to vote before Dr. Ford testified. I dont want to defend Flake being Flake but he does have a point here. None of the Views hosts cared about all the Democrats who took Dr. Fords side before theyd even heard her story in person. There is no pushback on them to justify their votes. No one says, So you didnt believe him? The pressure is entirely one-sided, i.e. the GOP has to justify their votes in light of Dr. Fords testimony but Democrats dont have to justify their votes in light of Kavanaughs testimony and record.
At the end, of this exchange, Whoopi Goldberg again asks why the GOP decided to stick with Kavanaugh if there were questions about him regarding his teenage behavior, including his drinking. Flake replied that Kavanaugh had a perfect record for 12 years on the DC Circuit Court. His point, though he didnt quite state it this way, was that maybe the sudden flurry of allegations had something to do with the partisan circus atmosphere. And if thats the case, why would we expect the treatment of any replacement nominee to be any different.
Dare I say it? Flake is right about this. It was always easy for Dems to say We have a problem with this guy but if you nominate someone else, itll be fine. That was always a lie. If Trump had nominated someone else theyd have repeated the process all over again with the new nominee. The goal was to block the nomination of a conservative, any conservative. And if you dont believe that, just wait and see how Democrats behave if Trump gets a third appointment to the court.

This Flake assh@le is just like Fake Injun Squaw of Massachusetts, Nancy Pelousy of Californication, Abbas of the PLO terrorist murder gang, and mad maxine waters they all have to spew more lies or inane remarks every blessed day just to get into the news as if any of them really mattered. Its a psychiatric sickness
Don’t worry about it Jeffy. Just a month or two more and then you’ll be entirely irrelevant.
Say “Good night”, Jeff.
Kind of like George Burns telling Gracie Allen, “Say good night, Gracie”, and Gracie wondering why she was saying good night to herself.
Flake who?
Sue her in a closed court of law and bring in her high school boyfriends and their parents. She had quite a reputation. but no one wants to get dragged down in her murk, not even her parents and siblings.
“en. Jeff Flake appeared on the View today and said he wasnt sure if he believed Dr. Christine Blasey Ford or Judge Brett Kavanaugh”
Nothing like decisiveness to demonstrate leadership. :-)
Permanently confused and babbling...
Good riddance to Flake.
A man devoid of discernment, and he’s a member of the world’s greatest deliberative body? Thanks, Arizona, for sending the best and brightest...second only to the late (thankfully) John McCain.
Yeah, he has convinced me that he is the kind of President I want as my leader. /can you feel the heavy sarcasm?
Go away. Oh wait you are.
I’m sensing an anal wart trying to decide if it wants to be painful and make the person cringe whenever a bowel movement happens or to be quiet and benign.
This anal wart has decided to be the painful kind. Good thing it will vanish this January but knowing this wart; it will “rear” its ugly head again somewhere else.
Blasey-Ford is the Stanford/U Palo Alto contact for the CIA’s Summer Intern Program. Do you think the CIA would pick a non-CIA person for that role?
Her published papers are on embedding modified memories in people under hypnosis so they can lie convincingly while being questioned.
She did well enough in high school to get into UNC-CH out-of-state (18% max of UNC-CH students are out-of-state). She had to be at the top of her class in high school to get in.
At UNC-CH, she fell apart academically.
In reality, she was probably accosted in 1985 while she was between her Senior year of high school and her Freshman year at Carolina.
The six-day gap before she testified was used to hypnotise her and program her to transfer the 1985 attack to 1982 so it would implicate BK. She was already in Delaware and did not need to “fly from California”.
The switch in her voice from profession to little girl was a tell as to when the programming was kicking in.
A$$Holes like this don’t know “truth” until they gauge public opinion!
RINOS are gutless!
Thank God he’ll be off the public stage soon...
What a wimpy response.
And why should we believe Flake?
And that’s why Flake won’t get another term. He’ll be gone and forgotten 5 minutes after he leaves office.
Maybe we need to give IQ tests to all people running for office.
He claims he's quiting because he doesn't want to work with Trump.
When, in fact, he's not running again because he can't get re-elected in his own state. His approval rating is hovering in the teens.
Classic loser RINO politician.
Careful, AZ might just get devious and send that nutjob Kyrsten Sinema.
