Mitt Romney is calling on Americans to “categorically and consistently reject racism and discrimination” on the anniversary of racist violence in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017 and on the eve of a repeat of the Unite the Right rally this year in Washington, DC. The former Massachusetts governor and current US Senate candidate in Utah issued a lengthy statement on Friday defending equality, steeped in his religious upbringing and belief that “we are all children of God.”
Romney, who ran against President Barack Obama as the 2012 Republican nominee for president, touched on a number of issues in his post. He weighed in on President Donald Trump’s equivocal reaction to the gathering of the alt-right and white supremacists in 2017, though he did not mention the president by name. He also suggested that it’s misguided to perceive pushes for equal opportunity by groups that have historically been discriminated against as grabs for a disproportionate share of the pie....

This is really tiresome coming from “Bishop” Romney.
Mormon history isn’t exactly sterling when it comes to racism- blacks were discriminated against in the LDS until 1978- and that certainly was during the “religious upbringing” that he is boasting about.
It’s just more virtue signalling from a pious fraud who is always eager to indulge in it.

No, you are absolutely right. Votewise there will be little to no difference between this loser/scumbag/POS and a Democrat. I would rather an opposing vote came from our known opponents than supposedly from one of our own. In that respect I hope he loses the general and we make up for it elsewhere. Plus it will give me a lot of pleasure watching him lose (again).

Trump was not equivocal about attacking racism, with respect to Charlottesville. That is a lie put out by the media, using lies spoken by Dim politicians and the Left. What they wanted Trump to do, which Trump did not do, was to blame all the violence that day in Charlottesville on the so-called “alt-right” protesters. The Dims and the Left produced that hoax agenda about racism on Trump’s part to justify their own one-sided opinion on the violence.
