While Democrats have always embraced socialist policies to a certain extent, claiming to be a “socialist” was taboo until recently, with the change thanks in large part to a surge in millennial candidates running for office.
Even though the 2018 midterm elections are more than three months out, Democrats have quickly lost control of their agenda for the American people. Any plan that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi may have had for their divided caucus is now being forcibly pulled further to the left by Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Democratic congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28 year-old progressive darling of the Bronx who is almost certain to win her election in an overwhelmingly Democratic district.
This brings us to the Democrats' newest millennial problem: All the young, hip candidates have essentially embraced far-left socialism. Even worse, many of these candidates have all been endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America and are touting their endorsement as a badge of honor.
In Pennsylvania, a number of Democratic primaries were successfully hijacked by far-left millennial candidates, which resulted in three primary victories by DSA-backed candidates. State representative candidates Summer Lee, 30, and Sarah Innamorto, 32, both pulled off significant upsets in their Democratic primaries, and are now running unopposed, essentially guaranteeing they will win....

Obama accomplished what he wanted: Get America’s younger generations used to freebies and the government. Not sure how we reverse this.
If this were pre-WW2, they would round up these socialists and communists and either deport them or exile them.
And for some it would mean the official “Black List”.
Let them go socialist and see what happens to their base. No way socialist candidates can win statewide office, within the state or to Washington. Putting them up there will simply ensure Republican victories, presuming the Republicans put up credible, pro-American candidates.
You tell them, “no”, and actually mean it.
I’m curious how far Trump will go in this regard, likely in a second term.

I just saw yesterday the Millennials are actually flocking to Trump and the Republicans and away from the Democrats. Over 10% have switched since 2016.

If people actually speak to Millenials, there are MANY that aren't pod-eating Antifa-loving dolts who, among other things, don't WANT want other people's stuff. They are probably more libertarian than your average Deplorable and, for example, may bring a few gay friends or sober pot legalization fans out to the range with them.
If people can get around those elements then the Dems will keep putting up loser candidates that repel Americans and Trump is guaranteed to destroy whoever they put up in 2020 AND we'll have a Red Wave this November.
This country is in serious trouble. No way to accurately see what is in store but a good portion of Americans are worthless and will do anything to destroy the Republic for “change”.
They are finally reaping what they have sown. Using the media and the educational institutions to indoctrinate them is now coming back to bite them in the butt. I personally think it is going to backfire on them. At any rate, I am praying it does.
The party is dean only the new twisted minds are left and they will rot at a faster rate.
There is an interesting millennial barista at one of my local eateries. Prefers working in a place with tips, likes working two 25/30 hour jobs and wants free market health care choices. I heard him tell a customer once that only about 5% of people who like socialism understand what it really is.

The threat of the young, and the not-so-young, socialists is that most people understand that the continuation of the status quo is not possible.
The nominal opposition to the socialists - the Republican Party - is finished.
President Trump should have renounced the GOP within six months of taking office and started a movement that would run candidates for Federal offices.
I think he thought that what he did to the GOPe was like a hostile takeover in business.
