Breaking down the population from the 2010 census shows that 75% of Birmingham’s total population is Black or African America. Approximately 22% are White, 3.6% are Hispanic or Latino, 0.2% are Native American, 1% are mixed race, and 2.1% are another race.

Hmmmmmmm. What is the security problem of a city that is 78 percent minority.......Interesting she is so scared.

Went there in 2006 for a sales seminar. Yes, it is VERY black.

Being from the state, I will offer this opinion. The city marginally has enough cops for regular patrols. In this case, I would guess they have six private security guys and one single cop car for the conference. Maybe she thinks they will have some mad rush of Mexicans. Most folks that I know, avoid the city.

Birmingham is surrounded by suburbs that aren’t majority black.
