Ohio Gov. John Kasich said he is "very, very concerned" about the upcoming meeting with North Korea, and hopes negotiations and any possible future agreement aren't just a "PR show."
The Republican made the comments on CBS News' "Face the Nation," after President Trump announced he is reinstating the June 12th meeting with North Korea in Singapore, days after canceling it. Mr. Trump declared the summit a go after meeting with top North Korean official Kim Yong Chol at the White House, before he had even read a letter delivered from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Kasich emphasized that the U.S. cannot "let the pressure up" on North Korea, even as Mr. Trump said there will be no new sanctions.
"I'm very, very concerned about this upcoming meeting with North Korea," Kasich told "Face the Nation" host Margaret Brennan. "I think this is a seminal meeting. I think we have to be extremely careful. And I don't think we should give anything away to these people. They have misled us. Every time we've entered an agreement they've backed away from it. They've misled us and we cannot let the pressure up on North Korea. So you know, promises don't matter."(continued)

I suspect what you say is true. One clue is how quickly Trump distanced himself from the creep. What disappoints me is that not one of our supposedly conservative media/news celebs or investigative journalists has exposed what’s going on.
Agreed. The details have been ironed out already or are in the process of being done so. There may be some blips leading up to the meeting from all sides to save face and put on a show, but the details have been negotiated. The main wild card is China, which may try to throw a snag into things by demanding some sovereignty over North Korea even after unification happens (if it happens). A more likely resolution than unification is a more free and open society in NK that slowly integrates into the rest of the world with assistance from both China and the US. Full blown unification from the start would create a massive humanitarian crisis that would overwhelm SK.
Who’s John Kasich?
Isn’t he the long reliever for the Reds? Why is he opining when he should be working on his third pitch . . .
Well, so was I. And my mom was a California state employee.
Irrelevant.
Not trying to defend Kasich, but my father was a member of the United Auto Workers for 38 years, yet not a one of his five kids wanted anything to do with unions.
The left and the Rinos are worried Trump will be sucessful.
99.9% of the nation couldn’t care less what John thinks.
“Kasich “very, very concerned” about North Korea summit, says U.S. must be “extremely careful””
what a dumbass ... what exactly does “be extremely careful” mean to the son-of-Mailman, and what exactly would happen if the U.S. is not “extremely careful”?
Good thing this fool isn’t (and never will be) President, since he’d probably be so “extremely careful” that he’d simply sit in the oval office hiding all day and hoping he’d never see his shadow ...
I was in AFSCME while I worked for the state unemployment office because I believe that if someone is negotiating for me they deserve my dues.
He was probably upset because the Norks didn’t ask him to hand deliver that big Envelope to POTUS Trump.
After all, his Father was a Mailman.
