Rep. Frederica Wilson's (D-Fla.) offices in Washington and Miami have reportedly been inundated with phone calls and threats following a war of words with President Trump this week.
Staffers at one point had to turn off the phones in Wilson's D.C. office after callers bombarded the phones lines, forcing many callers to only reach a voicemail, a local CBS affiliate reported Friday.
The number of calls has apparently reached the thousands over the past few days, according to the report, which said that fax machines were turned over to investigators as threats rolled in, pulling in the Capitol Police, Homeland Security and other law enforcement agencies to look into the threats.
A spokesperson for Wilson told CBS Miami that threats have intensified since the congresswoman accused Trump of being insensitive during his call to the widow of Army Sgt. La David Johnson, one of the four U.S. soldiers killed in Niger earlier this month.
The congresswomans staff immediately alerted authorities to a racially-charged threat made on a Facebook account of a person named Tom Keevers, according to the CBS affiliate.
The account wrote about assembling "ten good men to help carry out a lynching," adding that they "must have own horse and saddle" but "rope will be provided.
Wilson and the White House have been locked in a war of words this week over Trump's handling of the call to the fallen soldier's family.
Trump had fired back at Wilson, calling her wacky in a Thursday tweet and accusing her of lying about remarks he made on the phone call after secretly listening in to their exchange.
The feud comes after Trump defended his delay in contacting the families of the four U.S. Green Berets who were killed in an ambush in Niger earlier this month.
The report of the flurry of hostile messages to Wilson's office comes one day before mourners gathered at a Florida church for Johnson's funeral service.
Wilson's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Hill on whether she attended Johnson's funeral.
I have a feeling that her aide wrote and published the post just to create chaos. Like that black woman who sprayed racist graffiti on her own car so she could blame Whitey.
ROCK STAR !!!!! LOL
I still say it’s really Tracy Morgan in Drag
They have to bondo and sand, then spray on the makeup. MAACO or Earl Scheib definitely
I cal cultural appropriation. She’s not allowed to wear cowboy hats, much less to make a mockery of them.
Shes not allowed to wear cowboy hats,NOT sticking up for the silly biitch but MANY (most) cowboys were Negoes after the CW. Sorry TV.
“... and threats..” Really? What threats were that?
This woman is the love child of Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Rick James. Sad part is she got DWS brains.
Mattel keeps trying to get the rodeo clown to endorse Barbie cowgirl outfits.
And a malignant narcissist. Like Obama, except more masculine and in sequined cowboy hats.
Well, that last part...lol!
All the talk should cease immediately. She has no worries about people who threaten her, they’re not going to do anything. The feds will find them and they’ll be silenced. The people who say nothing at all are the ones she should be worried about. They will not be found until after the fact. Don’t call her names or even make idle/veiled threats toward her. Just be quiet.
a thread when i and other Freepers called yesterday:

I’m curious as to how she came to national office in Florida, I thought we’d gotten all of that fixed permanently in 2010. Hers must be one of those districts that we had to give up to provide the appearance of a functioning democracy.
One thought that crossed my mind concerning that question was that she was trying to imitate a Philadelphia area TV personality in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's, named "Sally Starr" who always wore cowgirl hats. (See clips of her at youtube listed here, and her bio here.) However, I was unable to find any kind of Philly link for Friggingwhacko Wilson.
(By the way, any others here from the Philly area back then who remember Sally Starr?)
>
I remember Sally Starr, and have met her a couple of times. Like a lot of cities around the country back in the day, Philly had it's share of great kiddie show hosts: Sally Starr, Gene London, Pixanne, Chief Halftown,Captain Noah, just to name a few. I think Gene London is the only one still alive.
Well, this hoochie mama is a rock star now. What the hell do they expect?
A Garrison masterpiece!
GOOD this POS hates Veteran’s and the Military!
