Sen. Bernie Sanders on Sunday chalked up the fact that some of his supporters during 2016s Democratic primaries eventually voted for Donald Trump in the general election to the nature of politics.
People say not everybody who voted for Bernie ended up voting for Hillary, no kidding!" Sanders said on "Meet The Press."
He added, "That's what happens in politics," specifically pointing to some samples that have showed as many as a quarter of Clinton's primary voters in 2008 ended up voting for John McCain in the general election.
"That's the nature of politics," he said. "Most people, you know, are not rigidly Democrats or Republicans. They vote where they want. I worked as hard as I could to see that Hillary Clinton would be elected president."
The Vermont senator was responding to criticism that Clinton leveled at him in her new book and in recent media appearances that he didnt do enough to bring his supporters to her side after their contentious Democratic primary for president last year.....

Hillary Clinton? For some reason I want to hear Pat Benatar’s “The Victim.” /sarcasm.
Or “Hell is for children.”
I had the opportunity of voting against Hillary twice (ABC = Anybody But Clinton). I voted for Sanders in the primaries and for Trump in the general.
Exit polls say about 25% of his primary voters voted for Trump in the general election.
Bernie Sanders Voters Helped Trump Win and Here’s Proof

You weren’t on The Donald much, then, if you think that. Lots of people who were against the corruption of Washington and on the left, who saw that Bernie had the primary stolen from him, came around to voting Trump. And some of them are still Trump supporters. Truth and Constitution over lies and corruption.
Great song. Sad words.

Trump’s supporters and Bernie’s supporters have at least two things in common: they both are against NAFTA, and they both want to see manufacturing jobs return to America.
Trump would have been wise to exploit this going forward. Exploit this crack in the Democrat party. But Trump decided to insult Sanders instead, calling him “crazy” in tweets.
For the life of me, I don’t understand why Trump did that. There’s no upside to it. No Bernie Bro is going to read Trump’s tweets and say “By golly. Trump is right. Bernie is crazy.”
But plenty of them will be turned off, and maybe drift back to the traditional Democratic party.
Side story:
Many years ago, I was talking to a colleague at work. In the course of our conversation, he said something very vulgar about Ronald Reagan. He lost me right there, as The Gipper is one of my heroes. I was no longer motivated to go out of my way to help this colleague.
My colleague made a stupid error. Trump is doing the same thing re Bernie.
WOW!!!!
That’s a colleague.
If someone four years from now was so offended by a tweet, they will in an institute and not be able to vote anyway :)
Here you go. The Clinton’s are used to force and intimidation to get what they want. It is easy to see then she would think Bernie should operate that way with his supporters. It is also shows her disdain for freedom and her contempt for the people.
Bernie's a Marxist. That was never a secret.Trump is an anti Marxist whose promise to "drain the swamp" was directed at Rat Party "progressives" and their well paid sympathizers in the GOP-e.
As I said...Jill Stein was the logical choice for pi$$ed off Bernie supporters, not DJT.
Imagine how critical Bernie might be if he hadn’t sold out?
Read the article I sent you.

I’m guessing that the average Bernie Bro would not be too offended by a Trump “Bernie is crazy” tweet. Perhaps it would be better to say that he’d be turned off by the tweet. He’d think less of Trump, and maybe take another look at traditional Democrats.
A possible 2020 vote flipped, for no good reason.
So we are supposed to believe the responses of Liberals in polls?
Comparing the rationales used by liberals to the rationales used by conservatives doesn’t make sense.
I didn’t write the article. Draw your own conclusions.
