Hillary Clinton has expanded on her earlier claim that sexism helped torpedo her 2016 campaign, stating more specifically this week that white women were scared off by their husbands, brothers, boyfriends and male employers.
"When women are serving on behalf of someone else, as I was when I was Secretary of State, for example, they are seen favorably," the twice-failed presidential candidate said this week in an interview with NPR.
She added, "But when they step into the arena and say, 'Wait a minute, I think I could do the job, I would like to have that opportunity,' their favorabilities goes down."
Clinton continued her conversation with NPR, recalling a recent conversation she said she had with Facebook's chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg, who told the former secretary of state that a woman's unpopularity is directly proportional to her success.
"Sheryl ended this really sobering conversation by saying that women will have no empathy for you, because they will be under tremendous pressure and I'm talking principally about white women they will be under tremendous pressure from fathers and husbands and boyfriends and male employers not to vote for 'the girl,'" Clinton said.....

The more passively Sessions behaves, the more outrageous Hillary’s claims become. She understands, at this point, that nothing will ever be done to her so she’s throwing caution to the wind.
She set off warnings then, which I couldn't fathom then, and it was only later I got a good look at her and said, Hell No!
My husband didn't tell me who to vote for. He knows I'm smart enough to make my own wise decisions.
Hillary has a real knack for offending vast swaths of the voting public. Most *successful* politicians don’t do that.
Oh, now that is rich! Mrs. Bill Clinton claims that women are so weak-minded they have to vote the way they're told.
She’s about as far removed from “a girl”, as it’s possible to get!
OMG. She is basically saying that women are robotic automatons, like the Stepford Wives, who cannot use their own brains in the privacy of the voting booth.
I think she is losing it. The more she talks, the more obvious it becomes that she has serious problems.
There is one time when I asked a man for whom to vote; I had just turned 18 and I asked my father who he thought was best. He said, Ronald Reagan. :) So I voted for President Reagan in his first term. And I am very, very glad I did. :)
Ouch!
Good Lord, I am tired of her denial and excuses. She acts like a teenager. She should just admit it. People like me weren’t big fans of Trump, but we voted for him because we couldn’t stand the thought of that shrill hag screeching down to us from her smug pedastal.
Every time she opens her mouth it affirms that I made the right decision.
If you were Hillary, you would refuse to look at yourself in a mirror also.
roflolololol Sure, my husband tells me how to vote, just ask him. roflololol
Who cares what she says. She is appealing to her based. She’s got about a million or so supporters made up of pussy hat wearing feminists, sissies, and bull dykes that will buy her books. merchandise and pay three grand to kiss her ring.
She’s a con artist doing what con artists do.
White women are stupid?
all good points.
And none of those had anything to do with Hillary being a woman.
I would mention also, that Hillary would have been a continuation of the liberal policies of Obama. Obama never had very high approval ratings. He won two elections, but his elections were not landslides. America collectively thought about another term of Obama in the form of Hillary, and voted NO.
And I would also mention, that the Clinton history of scandal was a factor too. There were so many Clinton scandals and legal problems during and after their White House years. I’m sure the thought of the Clintons back in the White House repulsed some people.
Hillary is full of it, if she thinks she lost due to bigotry against women and all that. I think America would elect a woman president, just not this particular woman. This woman has too much baggage.
She’s repeating a trope I’ve seen other liberal women state without any reservation. For example, in the book “Every Day is Election Day”, she admits there were conservative women who joined in politics and sought positions, those poor fools, they were only tools of their evil conservative husbands. They don’t have agency or intelligence like liberal women.
It is a variation of the liberal general branding that they and only they are smart, educated, rational, good, caring. They label conservative women stupid and ignorant while calling the guys evil.
This woman has too much baggage.

Absolutely true. People were tired of her — and him. Endless scandals and Clinton fatigue had set in long before she even ran for president. That was their fault but she’ll never admit it.
In our church, I don't know how many women voted for Trump but I can assure you that none of them voted for Hillary. Our church holds to what would be called a patriarchal view of the family (although we would argue that is the biblical view based on Ephesians 5:22 and other related verses). I am unaware of any woman in our church who had her husband dictate how she should vote. I believe that the husbands trust the wives to vote properly.
Hillary, people voted against you because you suck as a politician and as a human being. We didn't have to tell our wives because they have eyes and a lot more sense than you.
Someone should start a thread with guesses on who/what she’s going to blame next week. I’m sure it would be a lot of fun.
You touch on a point I’ve heard others make, which is that women are perceptive about other women. And critical numbers of women think Hillary is a (fill in the blank).
And those women didn’t want the first woman president to be a (fill in the blank).
And those women don’t feel any obligations to voting for women candidates for office just because they are women.
Help!!! I've lost the election and I can;t shut up about it!!!
Isn’t this what Slick was telling her through Monica??
