As Democrats survey the political landscape and focus on rebuilding the party after the disastrous 2016 election, theres no denying that a change in leadership is desperately needed. One of the primary complaints leveled by Democratic supporters during and after the 2016 election was the lack of diverse faces in leadership positions. A party once led by Barack Obama and his picturesque first family is now scrambling to find candidates that can excite millennials and invigorate the base. It should come as no surprise to anyone well versed in Washington politics that managing to do both is no easy task. Politicians like Obama come along once in a generation.
This fractured relationship was clearly evident in the 2016 presidential campaign. Bad blood between Sanders and Clinton supporters during the presidential primary spilled over into the Democratic convention and hampered Clintons ability to unite the base in the general election. While Clinton certainly ran a flawed campaign that suffered from weak messaging and questionable strategic choices, its undeniable that soft support from the Bernie wing of the party contributed to her historic loss.....

It is amazing the Democrats cannot figure out the average self supporting American voters are not all that impressed with illegal, fag, and Muzzie rights taking precedence over their rights. So what does the Democrats do? Get even more radical, that will impress the voters
Kirsten, the lives affected are the human being murdered in the womb!!!
Run Joaquin Castro and Tulsi Gabbard in 2020.
“A party once led by Barack Obama and his picturesque first family”
The unintended satire makes an enjoyable side with my morning coffee.
C'mon...they have such good candidates in the pipeline.
(Snicker, snicker, snicker.)
Harris is far to the Left, promotes San Francisco “values” and lies like a rug ... Harris is nothing but a mulatto version of Nancy Pelosi.
Gillibrand was Hillary’s replacement as Senator, so there is something strangely pleasing about her being mentioned this way. Of course, it would be a disaster for the country, but wouldn’t it be funny if she could accomplish what Hillary couldn’t? Lots of ashtrays and lamps be flyin’.
But most importantly, they win California by 4 million votes instead of only 3.5 million!
I have a hard time believing that the United States would elect a California liberal for president.
Harris is not NBC.
First they have to beat Hillary ,LOL
Got that. Hey, I’m California too!
So was the last King of Thailand, I’m sure the founders thought he was eligible../s
Kamala Harris is not attractive enough. Obama is very attractive even when he is angry. So is Trump. Kamala could look good in the right light from one angle sometimes, but whatever she had is fading fast and she does not look good when she is mad which is most of the time.
Kirsten Gillibrand is attractive enough if she can keep her weight off. How is she doing with that? Her photo-shopped(?) picture on the cover of her 2015 book is fine. Other photos show that the weight is coming back. As she campaigns, her cortisol levels will rise and she will struggle against weight gain. Perhaps the liberal media will handle her like FDR and just show her face.
I am not expressing any personal opinion about their weight or attractiveness. I think such things are stupid. But I also believe that American voters, especially “moderates” are stupid and therefore suggest that no other criterion of electoral fitness comes close.
That statement stopped me in my tracks from reading further. An obvious bias.
These democRAT idiots think it is their candidates. Wrong.
It is their lack of a coherent message.
The Democrats appear to be set upon electing a woman president at all costs. Before the Republicans are able to do it. They cannot allow the Republicans to one-up them on identity politics. If not Hillary, they will dig up other women. But one thing you can be sure of, the 2020 Democrat nominee will have a vagina. That has been decided upon. And if Trump runs again, you can bet that Gloria Allred will once again trot out her stable of women who will claim to have been “groped” at some point in the past.
Might as well stay home and not vote...
“Politicians like Obama come along once in a generation.”
The same can be said about Statesmen like President Donald Trump.
Maybe 57 states. :D
Was he born to diplomats who are not under the jurisdiction of the United States? Or was he just a random person that somehow managed to become King? Diplomats and foreign military are not considered subject to the jurisdiction, etc. That is why diplomats’ children (note that that is the children of diverse diplomats, not the children of two diplomats) born here do not gain US citizenship, normally, unless one or both parents (this time the meaning how you like to read it) already are, and why overseas military births DO.
If you are going to try to cite exceptions as the rule, you had better know the rules first. Your nonsensical stance, in the face of legal and historical facts makes you (and your several equally deluded cohorts) look foolish.
How the Founders would have viewed the last King of Thailand is exactly as I described above - was he, or was he not, the child of an American citizen (father, just one, not multiple fatherS)?
You’re just stuck on the idea that there are extra, unwritten rules that would make your universe ‘right’ if only you could prove and enforce them. It just isn’t so. Fabricated definitions for ‘natural-born’ and twisted, cherry-picked readings of SCOTUS cases won’t solve your problem. If you want to ‘fix’ the rules you see broken, get a Constitutional amendment. It’s been done nearly 30 times already, so you have a much better chance of getting that done than of convincing the world (or at least America) that we’ve been doing it wrong.
I didn’t like Obama, and I have my doubts about where he was born. Unfortunately, if he was conning us, he’s pretty much gotten away with it. I don’t see his ‘works’ being easily undone by a magic wave of the ‘you were never a legitimate President’ wand. Not gonna happen. We have to do it the old-fashioned way - elect people to roll it back, bit by bit.
Meanwhile, assuming you aren’t some sort of disrupter just trying to Pied Piper us, your efforts would be better spent helping to undo the damage and prevent it from recurring. Snarky little comments that don’t even bear on the question just show you to be a troll.
