A new Fox News poll released Wednesday finds that an overwhelming 69 percent of Republican voters believe the news media poses a greater threat to the United States than white supremacists.
In comparison, just 18 percent of Republicans in the poll said that white supremacy was a greater problem.
In the same poll, 70 percent of all respondents said that President Trump hates the news media more than he hates white supremacists. That number includes 83 percent of Democrats and 53 percent of Republicans.
Participants were also polled on their view of Trump's response to violence in Charlottesville, Va., earlier this month. Trump initially blamed "many sides" for the violence that resulted in one death and dozens of injuries.
The responses were split among party lines, with 72 percent of Republicans approving of Trump's response to the violence, while 91 percent of Democrats disapproved.
Similar divisions exist over whether voters believe the president respects minorities: Eighty-two percent of Republicans said he does, while 92 percent of Democrats said he doesn't.
The poll also found less support for taking down Confederate monuments. Just fifty-three percent of Democrats said Confederate monuments should be taken down after the violence, while 87 percent of Republicans said they should stay up.
The Fox News poll was conducted by two polling firms, Democratic firm Anderson Robbins Research and Republican polling group Shaw & Company Research. It surveyed 1,006 registered voters on landline and cellphones from August 27-29, and carries a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points.

The “poll” is probably correct in two respects. The media (greater in numbers) has multiple outlets to distribute their garbage which is intended to destroy rather than build up. The “white supremacists” USE the media to help them get their message out. Therefore it is the media which has multiple opportunities to report on or create which, IMO, gives THEM the edge.
I agree with this part of your statement absolutely. The existing media is a monolithic group dedicated to helping their political allies get elected.
The media manipulates elections with their biased coverage, and as an ideological monopoly under one party control, they need to be broken up.

In my entire (long) life I once met one white supremacist who tried to pitch their views to me—once—many years ago.
The news media pitches their lies on the air on channel after channel 24-7—today, tomorrow, yesterday, five years ago, five years from now—all the way back to Operation Mockingbird when I was but a tiny child.

The media has always been happy to give “White Supremacists” time. George Lincoln Rockwell, David Duke, etc. All got plenty of air time to spread there nonsense.

Does anyone know an actual white supremacist???? This is like asking if you know anyone who has been killed by a trash compactor. Yes, it happens, and there must be someone somewhere who has been the victim or knows a victim, but it makes the news precisely because it is so rare. To hear the media talk about it, you’d think there was a white supremacist on every street corner.
OTOH, there are thousands of journalists and many of them are spewing so much hate (often, ironically (but not to them) under the guise of “anti-hate”) that it’s no wonder that the left wing nuts become violent. Most of them are on shaky ground already, mental health-wise.

Same with me. At an event celebrating free speech one speaker got up to talk down Jews. Just so happens that the event organizer attracted some people from that spectrum.
Actually it was in England that I got some blood libel about Jews spoken to me. I would argue there is a lot more Jew hatred in England and Europe than America.
