U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein called Thursday for the federal government to reverse the deportation of an Oakland nurse and her husband, saying their removal after more than two decades in the country revealed the “cruel and arbitrary nature” of President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration.
Responding to a front-page Chronicle story about the couple — who plan to leave for Mexico on Tuesday with their 12-year-old son, while leaving behind three older daughters who have legal status — Feinstein’s office set up a meeting Thursday between the California Democrat and the family to discuss their plight.
“These are the kind of people we should welcome into the United States with open arms,” Feinstein said in a statement. “Tearing this family apart doesn’t make anyone safer, it only places incredible hardship on their three children who will remain behind, forced to navigate their lives without their parents.”
Feinstein said the forced removal of Maria Mendoza-Sanchez and Eusebio Sanchez despite their deep ties to the country and lack of a criminal record “exemplifies that it’s nearly impossible for undocumented immigrants to get right with the law when they want to do so.....

1. The girls can go to Mexico, so it’s not Trump that is splitting the family it’s the parents who aren’t taking the girls.
2.If a father and mother commit a bank robbery and get caught and go to prison doesn’t that split up the family? Is that cruel?
Damn that Trump forcing people to sneak into our country knowing this could happen ....Oh wait never mind.

So America is so horrible (according to the democrats), that it is such a punishment to be forced to live in ones country of citizenship that they will voluntarily break up their own families.

Nearly impossible? Why isn't it completely impossible? And why isn't the whole family being deported?
Because of incidents like this, lot’s of self-deportation goin’ on. Lowest number of illegal border crossing in many years.
Why are the loving parents so willing to abandon their daughters in the USA?

Not my problem. I didn’t tell the parents to come here illegally. There’s nothing keeping the other family members here. Adios to them all.
These parents are terrible people and deserve to be deported, and worse. What kind of disgusting excuses for human beings would leave their children behind? They are criminals. They got caught. They should do the right thing, finally, and take all of their children with them to keep the family together.
Easy solution here. The three older ones can simply join up with mom, pop and the 12 yr old...and they all hold hands and can get out together. The five of them can then have a nice corn cob and taco dinner when they get back home.
