Hillary’s communications team decamped to the Javits Center in the Hell’s Kitchen section of Manhattan, where preparations for her victory party were being made. The venue, which would fill with Hillary aides, donors, friends and well-wishers over the course of the day, was chosen in large part because of its distinctive feature: a glass ceiling. If everything went as planned, it would be the glass ceiling of the presidency that lay shattered under Hillary by the end of the night.
A handful of key aides remained in the campaign’s Brooklyn headquarters for Election Night, but the top brass, including [campaign manager] Robby Mook, John Podesta, and Cheryl Mills, joined Hillary and Bill Clinton on their floor at the top of The Peninsula hotel, a five-star facility a block from Trump Tower. The Clintons had their own suite, and the rest of the floor had been rented out for staff workspace and for aides, including Podesta and Abedin, to have private bedrooms.
At the start of the night, the Javits Center was electric: it had the buzz of a debut performance on Broadway. Outside, a seemingly endless line formed down 40th Street, near artists who had sketched Hillary’s portrait next to Obama’s and vendors who sold buttons....

All the insiders (including the corporate media) knew she was toast around 10PM EST. They then dragged out the coverage to 3AM in the morning and only declared Trump President after he gave his acceptance speech and they learned that Hillary had conceded. That is why they are useless and no one cares what they say.
If Hillary and Trump were switched they would have declared her President immediately as soon as they knew.
Last night as I was out on a walk I played the CNN election night coverage on my phone ... made the walk so much more enjoyable!!!
This article leaves out the meat and potatoes stuff we all want to understand better ... namely reports of Hillary angrily yelling and cussing as it became clear she lost. Then she refuses to give a concession speech until the next day.
That is the real story. Instead they describe some sanitized version leaving out the important newsworthy stuff.

Hillary the white female lost the white female vote, 53-43. She lost white males 63-31. Strange what happens when you spend most of your time playing the race card.

I watch the Young Turks Election Night every now and then. A classic.
So many symbolic decisions, so little time. They remind me of the football player who spikes the ball and celebrates just before crossing into the end zone. What kind of person puts that much energy and attention into celebrating a victory without first securing the victory? (Don't answer - we all know just how power-hungry, entitled, and evil a candidate has to be to act that way. This isn't sports where showmanship is still stupid but at least excusable . . . Only someone at the Huffington Post would think Hillary could carry Utah and Georgia.
