President Donald Trump agreed to add fresh Medicaid curbs to the House Republican health care bill Friday, bolstering the measure with support from some conservative lawmakers but leaving its prospects wobbly. House leaders discussed other amendments calibrated to round up votes and scheduled a showdown vote Thursday.
I just want to let the world know I am 100 percent in favor of the measure, Trump said at the White House after meeting around a dozen House lawmakers and shaking hands on revisions. Were going to have a health care plan thats going to be second to none.
While the rapid-fire events seemed to build momentum for the pivotal GOP legislation, its fate remained clouded. One leading House conservative said the alterations were insufficient and claimed enough allies to sink the measure, and support among moderates remained uncertain....

I agree with most of what you have said. Trump said in a recent interview that he just does not have the votes in Congress to completely repeal Obamacare. I believe he is doing the best he can. Hoping that down the road you will completely dismantle.
Why not? They have passed full repeal bills before.
To play devils advocate, how can the lower and middle classes maintain a decent quality of life when health care costs send many of them into bankruptcy. One must admit that some kind of help is needed when the cost of care is out of control and nothing is in place to contain it.

I agree with your point. Healthcare was purposely broken by crooked politicians, so that people would eventually have no choice but to beg for single payer.
It’s going to take time and effort to undo what they’ve done.
Each and every “R” in the House and Senate rejected ObamaCare several times, while BO was POTUS, but now that it’s Trump as POTUS, it’s a different story. What a bunch of hypocrites! Until and unless the Congressional exemption of all Congresspeople from being part of the final health care legislation, no matter what it ends up being, is ended, it’s going to be a disappointment, to the majority of the general public. FORCE the entire Congress, and everybody else exempted from being part of this health care legislation, to be included in the final legislation, and ADD EVERYTHING GOOD that, already, exists in the “Congressional Health Care Plan That’s, Presently, For Congress, Only”!
Since most republicans can hardly call themselves constitutionalists, I think you answered your own question...
That being said, that barn door of government "healthcare" has been wide open for decades, the only question is how much can we close it..
One word: RINOs.
We don’t have the votes. Not even 50.
There have always been high-risk pools. Obamacare made all policies accept everyone and charged all equally. The new bill basically allows 30% more for such folks as I understand. Oh, why is this site now an ‘unsecured server’ site according to my new version of Firefox!!!!!!
Senate is dragging its feet. Should have nuked the filibuster a month ago and then they wouldn’t have to worry about what is or is not doable in the reconciliation method.....which is a big lie anyway since they could NUKE THE RECONCILIATION TOO. Gopers have the votes not the Guts. They are afraid they will have to campaign too hard in two years....instead of having confidence that if they do the right thing they will be reelected.
We need to convince them that if they fail us, there is no way in hell they will get reelected.
There is no money in passing a bill quickly. They could have done all this crap by Valentine’s Day, just Nuke the filibuster then you don’t have to worry about re-con rules ...which are just rules anyway that can be changed like any other rule in the house or senate by a simple majority.
It ALL a big con.
They could have passed a law that said by Dec. 1 2017 obamcare is over. Thats all. Then they would have had till then to get their own show on the road.
Oh well the proof will be in the pudding. Will the cost of health care go up or down?
The 30% surcharge lasts for a year if you don't meet the continuous coverage criteria and seek to buy coverage.

It is only secure when you make a donation. As far as the regular web site goes, there is nothing to secure since you want your opinion known to the public. I wouldn't use your FR password for anything else.
Because Google has a new policy of flagging sites that aren’t using https connections (the type of connection used to secure financial transactions), as part of an effort to get websites to switch over from http.
