Still though majority of old New England goes for their tyrantcrats Dems. Will they ever learn?
The biggest Obama accomplishment was that he got a lot of people to buy guns and gold and learn more about self-reliance and survival skills
Two of the towns listed, Ledyard and Montville, are also home to Connecticut’s two major casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. That fact should have at least been acknowledged in the article.
The Electric Boat Shipyard of New London (is it still operating?) also means a serious pro-military presence.
I would be interested in seeing how Trump did in places like New Britain (Stanley) and Waterbury (historically clocks).
East Hartford, Rocky Hill and others have a major United Technologies/Pratt & Whitney presence.
And there you have it - white Americans (as opposed to leftists) are all bigots, so that's why those towns voted for Trump....
Now in 2018, I wonder if those towns will tell Governor Malloy to stick it...
I’ve lived in Ledyard for 40 years. It was no surprise. Trump and Bernie won here in the primaries. There was no love for Hillary here. No signs.
For years our state has been governed by one party as the Democrats have ruled both houses of the Connecticut legislature. They have had their chance and it has resulted in tax increases, unfunded mandates to towns, over regulation, an abysmal business climate, an unsustainable pension situation and a real estate environment that has not recovered like the rest of the country.
By almost every measure, Connecticut is last when first is best, and first when last is better.
The funniest part of the article is the real estate investor worried about property values with a Trump administration. Ledyard property values have dropped to 2003 prices. I’m sure the investor will vote for Malloy again.
