Two of the towns listed, Ledyard and Montville, are also home to Connecticut’s two major casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. That fact should have at least been acknowledged in the article.
The Electric Boat Shipyard of New London (is it still operating?) also means a serious pro-military presence.
I would be interested in seeing how Trump did in places like New Britain (Stanley) and Waterbury (historically clocks).
East Hartford, Rocky Hill and others have a major United Technologies/Pratt & Whitney presence.
EB (Electric Boat) is still around. Most of eastern Connecticut is rural. New British (who has a good Republican mayor) went Clinton. The Hardware City is not a manufacturing city...Stanley is still around, but someone needs to make Connecticut great again. :-) The Dems ruined it..
