Were finally done with Election 2016 and to almost everyones surprise the new President-elect does not wear a pantsuit. How did Donald Trump pull off the biggest political upset in modern history? Does anyone really know for sure why and how it happened and how nobody saw it coming? Here are the reasons in my opinion, anyway, in no particular order.
The email scandal that continued to dog Hillary finally bit her in the ass completely when FBI director James Comey found the Weiner-grams that linked back to her and her lack of good judgment. Comey ultimately wussed out on this, but rest assured that there is something in those damned emails or he wouldnt have put his neck on the line that close to an election. Who knows why he said there was nothing to them a few days before the election. Maybe he had a visit in a dream from Vince Foster. Hillary was just not a nice person. Let that sink in for a minute. A lot of the voters just flat do not like her and that is saying something when they would vote for someone as unlikeable as President-elect Trump over her.

Harry Truman once said that you could not get rich in politics unless you were a crook. The Clintons have amassed over $250 million during their years in politics without producing any goods or services.
Corrupt Hillary is a lying sick old crook, who accepts bribes and betrays our country. Everything she says and does, or causes to be said or done, must be viewed with the utmost suspicion. Her promises are worthless, unless they enrich her in some way.
Her husband is a rapist and a pedophile whom she has actively enabled.
THAT is why she lost the election.
Am I the only person that doesn’t consider Trump’s win to be a surprise?
Clinton lost because the establishment media no longer has a lock on information flow, and Trump was willing to fight.
If Trump had not been willing to fight, he would have lost.
If the establishment media had kept a lock on the information flow, Trump would never have won the nomination.
I saw it coming months ago.
No ... I figured it was a tossup at worst. I was more relieved than surprised on Tuesday night. I don’t recall being terribly worried about it beforehand.
I am so tired of hearing that this was”shocking” and a “surprise” victory.
The media deliberately distorted their polling in a clear attempt to suppress the Trump vote and to make the anticipated fraudulent victory for HRC seem plausible.
Anyone looking at rally turn-out could see what was coming.
To me the only question was if the attempt to steal the election would succeed. I believed it would be too big of a landslide to steal, but unfortunately there were enough illegal votes to sustain the ridiculous meme that Hillary won the “popular vote”.
It wasn't all about Hillary's failures.
Trump brought a lot to the table...
Agree completely. I believed what my eyes saw clearly.
Trump was never behind so this was not an upset let alone the biggest upset in political history.
What do you mean “nobody saw it coming?” You weren’t talking to the right people!
When the media say nobody saw this coming, they mean that THEY didn’t see it.
The media are centered in the New York/Washington axis. They don’t get out much. They talk to each other and reinforce each others liberal worldviews.
Somebody years ago said nobody she knew voted for Nixon; she was surprised Nixon could have won a landslide victory. Nobody who the members of the media know, voted for Trump, or would admit voting for Trump.
Exactly.
By getting the majority of electoral votes.
National survival Trumps Political Correctness.
#6 So was I. I looked at the numbers around 8pm and thought Trump was going to win but still had that nagging doubt.
I figured the democrats would pull out all stops and commit massive fraud to get the presidency. They thankfully lost that and the senate and the house.
Hope that Trump knows that McConnell and Ryan will stab him in the back when they can and has a plan to deal them out.
I do not think he will suffer these fools.
My eyes saw clearly that Trump signs outnumbered Clinton signs by about 100 to 1 here in PA. Nevertheless I am aware of the history regarding Philly and Pburgh. Not to mention that my fellow Americans voted Obama in twice. So I was worried until I saw the worried faces on tv -- Wolf, Megyn, etc. Then I knew he had it :)
“...National survival Trumps Political Correctness....”
Indeed it does.
Nope. I called this in September and I was only off by 2 States.
