Hillary Clinton blamed the renewed FBI inquiry into her State Department email system for blunting her momentum in the presidential election and the closure of that inquiry two days before Election Day for energizing voters for Donald Trump.
"There are lots of reasons why an election like this is not successful," Clinton told top donors on a farewell conference call Saturday.
"But our analysis is that (FBI Director James B.) Comey's letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum," she said.
"We dropped, and we had to keep really pushing ahead to regain our advantage - which going into the last weekend, we had. We were once again up in all but two of the battleground states, and we were up considerably in some that we ended up losing. And we were feeling like we had put it back together," she continued....

She was already losing BEFORE the FBI reopened the investigation..she was going down in the flames and EVERYONE knew it..that is why the media came out with the phony Clinton up 12 points polls..remember those..did those turn out to be a GIANT LOL..even when the NBC Access Hollywood tape came out the LA Times poll still showed Trump ahead..Trump was ALWAYS ahead in the polls even though the corrupt DNC media refused to admit that
But you know what? This is fine. Let them think they were just perfectly aligned with the voters, had the right message, and the most ideal candidate of all time, and were just screwed by some meanie at FBI.

Secretary Clinton made a conscious choice to use a private email server so that she could continue selling U.S. foreign policy and using her family's charitable foundation as a slush fund.
It's the FBI's fault for looking into it.

Hereabouts, at least, the revelations of paedophilia and witchcraft brought out big lot of evengelicals who were otherwise inclined to stay home. They were not acting on mere accusation but rather on the credibility of the emails. They are credible because the principals, who have always been quick to deny anything unfavorable remained mute about the substance of the emails. I heard that discussed a lot. Some local preachers discussed that. A lot of those people voted who were not inclined to before it. Admittedly this is NW Florida and it probably made no difference in the outcome but if that reaction was common across the country then it could have provided the winning margin.
