Next debate prep: Clinton's light schedule, Trump stays on trail

Just hours after their running mates finished their debate, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are charting distinct paths to the upcoming presidential debate Sunday in St. Louis.

The stakes are a little different for each of them, too.

For Clinton, the second debate is an opportunity to sustain the momentum she's drawn from the first. Polls this week showed the former secretary of state with leads nationally and in key swing states.

For Trump, Sunday's debate will be a mulligan of sorts. Clinton was widely seen as the winner of the first debate, and Trump has been at the center of controversy ever since.

Here's how each candidate is preparing for round two as of Wednesday.

Clinton off the trail

The Democratic nominee is off the campaign trail ahead of Sunday's debate, leaving media appearances and public rallies to her deep bench of high-profile surrogates, including her immediate family, the first family and Al Gore. Clinton does, however, have fundraisers slated for Wednesday and Thursday, including one that will be open to cameras.

Advisers say the reason behind the decision is simple: the debate carries far greater importance than a standard campaign event. The first debate was viewed by more than 80 million, far more than the audience for any rally....

Yes and look what happened in the VP debate.

For some unexplainable reason, the Republicans never request
a moderator that is remotely conservative. It’s like Lucy
and Charlie Brown!

I’m sure if Sean Hannity was requested by the Repubs to moderate, the Democrats would refuse and the Repubs would say
“OK”.

“Imagine the joy we’ll all have on Election Night when the MSM sees one battleground state after another falling for Trump, and they all have that WTF puzzled looks on their faces as they have to announce the loss of their beloved St. Hillary. I do hope one of these people weeps on TV and asks, “What’s wrong with this country?” What a glorious night it will be. The Clintons going down in flames and the media having to report their demise. Can’t wait!”

what you said ...

She can’t handle the local events of rubbing shoulders with the “unwashed masses”. Neither physically nor mentally.

If you are posting from any of the MSM sites, you are pretty much posting from Benghazi Clinton’s campaign. However, it you must, preface the posting with a “flying feces” alert.

Dear, dear Donald, please get some rest. Rest renews us. You do very well. Think how well you could do with more rest. The brain functions better when rested. Answers come to us quicker and clearer when rested. Dear Donald, even The LORD God rested on the seventh day. Please take His advice and remember to rest up.

Better a 70 year old vibrant and working hard than an enfeebled 68 year old who needs help getting up a short flight of stairs.

Trump had 2 campaign rallies plus a talk at a church in Nevada yesterday (10/5). He has a rally in Sandtown, NH at 7 Eastern tonight (10/6). I did hear he was taking Fri & Sat off to practice for the debate.

I don't think the writers know what the word "momentum" means.
