Of all the states once seen as clearly in Hillary Clintons column, a new survey identifies the one perhaps most likely to tip to Donald Trump and that state is Maine.
A Colby College-Boston Globe poll released Tuesday shows the presidential race in Maine is now within the margin of error, with Clinton leading Trump, 42 percent to 39 percent.
Also significant: The poll of likely voters, conducted last week by SurveyUSA, showed only a small portion of respondents, 5 percent, remain undecided less than eight weeks before Election Day.
Trumps ascendancy in Maine is largely due to his dominance in the vast northern sector of the state but analysts say its also a reflection of how Maine, like many other parts of the country, has become geographically more polarized. Its northern reaches, mostly rural, tend to be far more conservative than the southern, populous part of the state.
Mainers for the first time in a while have to pay attention to the statewide race for president, said Dan Shea, a political science professor and director of the Goldfarb Center at Colby College. The Clinton campaign can no longer take this state for granted.

For the benefit if others and to save time: Can someone explain how the EV's are divided in Maine, since it is not a 'winner-take-all-state'?

Just anecdotal, but... We just returned from a week-long vacation on the Maine coast. We stayed not far from the Bush compound in beautiful Kennebunkport. Saw quite a few Trump lawn signs and bumper stickers just about everywhere except leftist Portland.

Look for buses driving up the Maine Turnpike on election day.

Sent you an e-mail with image. I think it’s a game changer, but I just don’t do images well here.

Can’t find it now but on Twitter just saw a Breitbart article on CO saying Cankles lead in one poll is 5, but another is TWO!?!

Thank you. If that was done nationally, Democrats would lose big time.

I play with the numbers a lot. Have to get a cohesive presentation of the current state of things. For Trump anything is possible except DC, VT, CA, and, HI
