Frank Luntz said there was one moment from Donald Trump's convention speech that truly stood out, that his focus group rated higher than anything that preceded it in the past four days.
That was when Trump talked about Hillary Clinton and corruption, specifically in regard to her emails.
"Republicans, Independents and Democrats dialed it through the roof," Luntz said.
Said one panelist who entered the RNC "Never Trump":
"I'm 39 years old. That was the best speech by a presidential candidate I've heard in my entire life. And I don't say that lightly, 'cause I've heard them all."
Another panelist who came in supporting Bernie Sanders is now going Trump....

“CROOKED HILLARY”
All talk about the Clinton Crime Foundation ended when “Jimmy Fixit” Comey let her slide. I think that’s the scandal that will bring her down, not the (egregious) email mess.
People are saving their arrows for the REAL elephant in the room, Trump included. This one ain’t over, kiddies.
“And if they dont, Trump will bring it up.”........
“Politically Correct” won’t be so politically correct when Donald gets out on the campaign trail, he will go for the throat. Refreshing!
No one cares what the rest of the world thinks about our election. Go play with the kangaroos and drink some Fosters.
My favorite line...
“Hillary’s greatest accomplishment may have been committing such egregious crimes and getting away with it.”
I must say from this side of the world (Australia) we dont see anything that would make Trump look good.
...
The crooked people in politics wouldn’t be getting away with it unless there were equally crooked people in the media.
His business acumen does not impress? His decades of executive experience and his ability to get things done don't look good?
One of the reasons I supported Trump from the beginning is that our evil news media actively looks for ways to bring down conservatives. It does not matter what the conservative says, the media lies and spins so as to turn people against the candidate. But it is harder to do that with Trump, because we know him; he has been a public figure for decades. It is a lot harder for the media to lie about someone that everyone (at least here in the US) knows.
Would it be the case that in Australia, you only get the negative spin picture, but since you do not already know him, the picture looks real?
I only caught the last 30 mins, that had to be the highlight for me. Now we have to get congress rid of LIBTARD dems and RINOS like Ryan, McNasty, Gramnesty, etc.
My US Rep Stephen Fincher 8th District TN is retiring, of the 5 running only 1 is a true word keeping conservative. Tom Leatherwood former TN State Sen, Register of Deeds for Shelby CO. Pro-life, NRA supported, small government. Keeps his word. TN State Rep Kelsey while he has Right to Life support does NOT have Police support, they don’t like him one bit. Proudly cast my vote for Tom yesterday in early voting.
Don’t forget the Foundation scandal.
Can’t he apply to have his rights restored re-enfranchised after all this was a plea deal, and not a violent crime?
And he is only a threat to LIBTARDS.
We are all hostages to our beginnings. America's founding as a bastion of freedom and justice has served usand the rest of an indebted, free Western Civilizationrather well over the centuries. The legacy of our origins has been both a stern taskmaster and a blessed life-giver.
Given that Australia was founded as a prison colony for Britain's most despicable and dangerous criminals, murderers, rapists, etc., I'm not surprised that you can't find anything worth admiring in a MAN like Donald Trump. I just consider the source.
Sad on you, mate.
Thirty-nine, wow...I'm a lot younger and lack that vast and deep experience, but I wouldn't call it "best." Not sure I'd call it a speech, even. It was mainly DJT speaking plainly. And that's what was called for, what people are thirsting for. I think this was one of several strategic decisions he made, and among others would be the prominence of his impressive family and the latitude he provided to Cruz.
Trump already had the votes, and he could have hired a Noonan to write him a points-of-light city-on-a-hill sort of speech, could have cut Cruz time and confined the kids to waving and balloon moments, but that wouldn't have advanced anything.
Instead, he struck a vital chord with that heartfelt speech, particularly in mentioning what everyone knows about Clinton's email case (she got away with blatant criminal behavior), and he showcased four young, appealing, articulate offspring.
I had rather low expectations for the convention: if nobody attempts a coup, nobody gets shot, and Jeb stays out of there, I'm happy.
Today I'm very happy! :)
Interesting point, Ray

Ping to info on what Trump didn’t say about the Clintons .... yet.
I think you misunderstood - it was talking about the media and how much we are “let” see!
Yes it was really my point is that the picture we are given or are allowed to see. Unlike most I am quite able to see past what the media show us!
You couldn’t read past the first sentence and see that I was actually praising Trump for having the courage to say things that other Republicans wouldn’t? As the main post was talking about the media and focus groups I was talking about what we see or are shown. That does not mean I cannot see past the media BS. As to the last paragraph of your post I will ignore that completely!
Sorry about that, mate. Sad on me.
As to my last paragraph, it's for the most part true. No wokken furries, mate. Fair dinkum.
Haha - nice one - cheers!
