I think it’s about time African Americans started acknowledging their American Privilege. They benefit from a system that exploits low-wage workers in China and India every time they buy their designer clothes. They benefit from the exploitation of Africa with every gold necklace and diamond ring. They benefit from the oil we get from the Middle East. Some of them even benefit from the cheap labor of desperate Mexican immigrants. They are very high on the human foodchain. But all they can do is complain about not being on the very top.
