NEW YORK (AP) — A new power player has emerged among the feuding factions behind Donald Trump's presidential campaign, one that through the bonds of marriage enjoys a direct line to the Republican billionaire.

Despite limited political experience and some family baggage, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner is playing an active role in virtually every aspect of the New York real estate magnate's presidential bid. And empowered through his marriage to Trump's trusted daughter Ivanka Trump, the 35-year-old Kushner operates with an extraordinary level of autonomy within an organization now struggling to shift its focus toward the general election.

Struggling? Does the Trump campaign look like it's struggling?

I guess the media has to stick to its narrative.

Has Trump peaked again? Is it falling apart? Really?

Trump hires one press person
Hilla has over a dozen

To someone who thinks a dozen or more are necessary to run what Trump does with one, “struggling “ is appropriate. -— They also believe in inflated government with layers of bureaucracy

My thoughts exactly. What some may seem as struggling, Trump probably doesn’t even see it as problematic. And of course Kushner enjoys access to Trump, he’s family for crying out loud! *shakes head*

Dear Jared: decline any and all requests for cooperation in media stories. Any compliments they pay are only to set you up for smear jobs in future.

THEY.....the mainslimes, think it’s time for Trump to begin an apology tour. He’s far too self-confident and outspoken./S.

I noticed that embellishment also. I think the American public is finally coming to the realization as to just how sleazy these folks are. this is evident in the huge turnouts we a are seeing at his rally’s and the primary voting booths...........

Struggling, Trump won Tuesdays primaries mostly with over 70% of the votes in each state, one state gave Trump over 80% of the vote.

Rove said Trump had hit his ceiling in the high 40’s. Guess the Don broke thru that ceiling like a missile.

Just the lame stream press saying Don had a bad week, when he set a new record for most GOP primary votes, 1536 delegates. I should have such bad weeks.

All his children are powerful forces. Confidence exudes. And Christians whose children are drug addicts and socialists turn their noses up.

By the fruit of the tree, you know them.

I think we should stop being defensive or in denial. Trump had a bad week, period. He was pummeled over the judge thing from every corner of the media, non-stop, for the whole week. His victories in the last few primaries were already, as they say, factored in. So the real damage is from the bad publicity of non-stop attacks by the media over the past week, and a subdued response from Trump.

“All his children are powerful forces.”

You can say that again. I am especially knocked out by Donald Trump Jr. He's obviously very driven, but his own personality takes a back seat to his work. He is a devoted father of five! He's a committed conservative who has spoken at length and off-the-cuff about the need to reign-in government. A friend of mine who is a child psychiatrist (and a political independent) told me, “Trump has his issues, but anyone who raised those children has his act together in important ways.”
