Ted Cruz just crushed Donald Trump in Washington State GOP delegates [dirty tricks]
The Week ^ | May 23, 2016 | Peter Weber

Posted on 05/24/2016 12:49:36 PM PDT by UMCRevMom@aol.com

Washington State holds its Republican primary on Tuesday, and with one candidate left in the race, there's not too much drama about the outcome. But in a twist — and what would the 2016 race be without a twist? — 40 of Washington's 41 delegates selected Saturday to attend the Republican National Convention in July are Ted Cruz partisans. Cruz supporters outnumbered Donald Trump supporters at the state GOP convention in Pasco, and they were better organized, pushing through the Cruz slate of delegates over occasional protests from Trump backers, who noted repeatedly that Cruz is no longer in the race.

Among the Trump supporters who did not get elected a national delegate is Trump state campaign chairman Don Benton, a Washington State senator. Benton predicted that the Cruz delegates will come around to supporting Trump — in fact, ACCORDING TO STATE PARTY RULES, they have to VOTE FOR TRUMP at the convention, assuming Trump wins the primary on Tuesday. But the Republicans in Washington State are not yet unified, The Seattle Times reports, and several candidates for statewide office are either studiously not saying if they will support Trump, like gubernatorial candidate Bill Bryant, or saying they won't. "Do you think I enjoy this? Not supporting the nominee?" said Chris Vance, a GOP candidate for U.S. Senate. "It's unpleasant."

“Wow, no hyperbole there, huh?”

Given the gush of false prophecies and congruity with globalism, no, not much, if any.

You said that Teddy told them to vote for Trump, for unity sake.
~~~~~~~~~~
No. I said it might be his way of bringing unity to the party because his people will be voting for Trump. You don’t like it, I don’t give a sh!t.
Maybe not quite clear enough. The damned drooling sycophants of the LOSER, need to be told to STFU and LEAVE, only. Perhaps they’ll understand that.
Chill, it’s still the primary season. Myself and millions of GOP voters won’t be voting until June 7th....after then the Cruz supporters can choose Trump in the general (provided the Trump supporters haven’t alienated the former Cruz supporters so much by then that they stupidly “sit it out”). Trump supporters need to be building bridges not burning them by insulting former Cruz supporters.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....thanks for that info!
After this primary season, I think that the Bush Family Dynasty is dead as a doornail. Well, I certainly hope it is.
And FYI, I don’t think Scruz wants unity. It’s clear the sob doesn’t. I think though putting people that *like* him in and having them vote for the opposition would be something that would grate on their nerves.
“I still think less of Texas for electing that smarmy dope in the first place.”
Texas isn’t what it was. It drew a lot of carpetbaggers and mojados for the past several decades. George P. would have been physically frighted to pull what he did with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas when I lived there. I do look forward to his obliteration as a political factor.
>>A bunch of Lucifer’s minions...
Wow, no hyperbole there, huh?
Actually, no hyperbole, just stating truth.
Pro-liberty patriots seek God and His Goodness.
Anti-liberty activists, aka GLOBALISTS, do the work of SATAN, and are, in fact, his minions. Cruz has been exposed for the Globalist he is.
This election cycle has brought this realization to many of us. We thank God for using DJT to make it clear.
Thank you, nopardons. Queen Elizabeth is one of my favorite monarchs. She put up with a lot in her youth and vanquished all her enemies. Not a perfect person, by far, but she did the best she could with what was handed her by her bastard father and half sister.
Why did you do this? I resent your attempt to continue to spread dissent.
I'm not trying to do anything, except trying to provide possibilities as to why these events are happening. I've already switched from Cruz to Trump. I'm already on the Trump train, and I will ride it to the end of the line.
The only way Trump isn't going to get the nomination is if he quits or dies, and he isn't going to quit. But I lived through 1968 and saw what the establishment does when it gets the chance: when RFK got assassinated, the Dem-e jumped it, brushed aside all the voters for RFK and McCarthy, and put in HHH. And there isn't a person on Free Republic, I think, who doesn't think that if Trump dies--and NO, I'M NOT WANTING HIM TO DIE!!--that the Romney/Ryan bunch won't jump over the only other conservative who was in the race and put in a Designated Loser just to ensure that the conservatives never get a foothold in the party structure ever again.
That's ALL I'm concerned about now. The establishment will stop at NOTHING to keep itself in power, regardless of which party holds the White House, and we can't let them get away with it. Plan A is to get Trump nominated and elected, but if something happens to Trump, there has to be a Plan B other than "let the GOP leaders decide" the way the Dem leaders decided in 1968 when fate handed them the opportunity. THAT'S ALL.
Obviously, your memory stinks!
FR has ALWAYS been like this; except back when you and I joined this site, the posters were far more knowledgeable about politics, pols, and how the government works/doesn't and why. The majority of the posts were mostly fantastic and even the FLAME WARS ( sans the DRUDGE/anti-Semitic ones ) weren't as puerile as they are now.
Trump is the putative GOP nominee and it long past the time for Cruz supporters to stop trashing him and his supporters and starting stupid flame wars.
TRUMP numbers were miniscule compared to the local old timers, at least in TEXAS, so I am projecting a bit to WA state.
There were 3 in our congressional delegation of 77 at state.
It was an embarrassment, but people didn’t know the dates and times for the precinct and county level. This year TEXAS moved the precinct date away from the primary election evening, to a later day in the month. Who knew?
It was thought to be an unnecessary shenanigan. No one came to the later precinct meeting. There were maybe 8 there! That is unheard of. All Cruzers, but me.
In Pennsylvania, the Trump operatives did a fine job, people stationed at polling locations, handing out cards with delegate information. Trump was the overwhelming choice AND his delegates won as well.
With all of that, it still remains to be seen how he will do in the delegate count, especially if it had gone to second ballot, which now appears very unlikely.
My point is that it is not that Cruz campaign is so skilled and has such a wonderful ground game (so tired of hearing that term), it is that there is an obnoxious #neverTrump contingent among the party hacks. They control the delegate process and thwart the will of the people and they use Cruz to do it. It’s pathetic and a waste of everyone’s time.
This is not because of any skill on the part of Cruz campaign and it never was.
Texas has always thrown out bad politicians. In my time line, just think of LBJ, Anne Richards, etc. That’s just a start!
Texans refuse to deal with this instead focusing on bad northeastern politicians. And, I’m sorry, it’s not because of carpetbaggers. Rick Perry, anyone? What? He’s from the upper west side of Manhattan?!
It most assuredly NOT the Trump supporters who are igniting these stupid flame wars; rather, it is the drooling sycophantic Cruzites who are instigating then and insulting us.
