No, really. This is one of the best political commercials ever made.
It wont be on TV unless it gets recut, because its two and a half minutes long, but to recut this would be a shame. It packs in many of the reasons why Cruz is a better nominee than Trump, gets across the key point that if Trump is the nominee the media which has been fawning over him will turn on him the same way they turned on John McCain and Hillarys opposition research feeding into the media coverage will turn the entire general election race into an implosion, and points out that Cruz can make the case for himself as the embodiment of what the American people say theyre looking for in a president.
But even if you dont buy the substance of the ad, you have to appreciate the showbiz of it. Its one of the best-produced pieces youll see in a campaign spot. This woman theyve got playing Hillary Clinton is perfect. Looks just like her and does a great impersonation without saying a thing. The actress playing Huma Abedin also looks just like her, and does just enough to scare the crap out of anybody not already scared by the prospect of Huma Abedin being Valerie Jarrett Version 2.0. Theres even a John Podesta lookalike.
You couldnt knock this down to a :60 spot, I dont think, but if you could it ought to run over and over and over and over again in every remaining state. Clearly the campaign hopes releasing it will cause the cable news networks to run it in their news packages and give it earned media exposure, plus have it go viral on social media and the blogosphere. For a spot this good that could well work. Its worth watching as entertainment, not just a political ad.
Consider this love. Consider this our puppy-faced adoration for the Cruz campaign a la Sean Hannitys nauseating sycophantic treatment of Trump. Consider it whatever you want; were fine with it. An ad this good speaks for itself.

Your comment to me.
...When you get some judges to decide that he doesnt meet the constitutional requirements, lets talk. Until then, you and the others here are shoveling dirt...
You are so consumed by your Trump derangement sydrome, you dont see how nasty YOU are to others!!!!
BTW, I do appreciate the work folks like you bring to Free Republic. We need to vet our candidates, and all the Trump dirt helps EVERYONE to vet and evaluate Donald Trump.
My point stands, and has not been answered in a serious manner by any Cruz supporter.
****Let’s all see and evaluate the Cruz paper trail. Ted NEEDS to take the seal off of his past so we may evaluate Ted’s suitability for public office. No more hiding stuff by legal means******
I look forward to your efforts to find some 10 to 20 year old information on Ted Cruz.
Good luck, because Ted sealed his past from inquiring and discerning minds who wish to vet Ted’s suitability for public office.
Why is Ted hiding his past?
As to Trump, the RNC is gnashing its teeth and the GOP back room boys are starting to have apoplectic seizures.
John McVain and Yeb Bush have both have publicly refused to attend the GOP convention. The political class of the GOP is
gathering oaken stakes, silver crosses and garlic in the desperate hope that they can stop who they see as Trump the necromancer!
Buahahahahahahaha! The GOP has been run by a bunch of ninnies for more than a generation. Now the People WILL be heard.
Trump is a liberator. And he will go down in history as such.Managing money frugally is but one of his decent traits !
I suppose Trump is vilified down under? We will have to see how it all plays out.
