The Power of Work; Ted Cruz’s Story
The Huffington Post's Huffpost Politics The Blog ^ | April 19, 2016 | Daniel Kushner

Posted on 04/19/2016 4:28:21 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

“Cruz was the earliest to organize here and unquestionably had the deepest connections on the ground. His top local organizer, Bette Grande, has been supporting him for months, dating back to when Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, came to her house last September during a North Dakota campaign swing.”

How do you not love this? Literally eight months ago, he was already having his father campaign in North Dakota. And not just doing events, but going to the house of top local organizers in, again, not Iowa, not New Hampshire, not South Carolina, but North Dakota. And it’s not like Ted was working any less hard.

There is a serious discussion to be had about policy in this election campaign, about how increasingly extreme and often dangerous views are becoming ever-more-acceptable, and how about one of the two major parties in the United States is approaching a breakdown as its leaders are finally engaging with their voters, and finding they don’t like what they see, and what that means.

That is a serious topic, and there is much to be said about it. But this campaign is also a testament to hard work. The only reason why Ted Cruz is still standing, and not Marco Rubio or Ben Carson or Bobby Jindal or Scott Walker, and remains the most likely person to be the Republican nominee, is because Cruz outworked every opponent of his by a factor of four. Not only did he outwork his opponents, but his father and wife outworked his opponent candidates by a factor of two....

2 DV is a FR institution and a treasure. Get over yourself.

Sure, posted to him for years.

Get over yourself.

He’s the one posting these endless streams, not me.

I’ve barely responded to most of them. In fact, I skip over most of them. But I have responded to a few.

Why don’t you show some class and follow your own advice that’s in your tagline.

Thanks, I do. Often.

However, when there’s an endless collection of pro-Cruz spam posted day-in, day-out, some are going to notice.

I only showed what somebody posted for about two weeks in response to that person hitting on someone else for being a noob using leftist sources.

D’oh

And one of those same leftist sources appeared today (didn’t get that in there).

Your guy won big today. Why can’t you be happy and go celebrate instead you stay angry and try to ruthlessly knock off one of the most loyal Cruz supporters here, one who has handled himself well all year under constant attacks and managed not to be eliminated as so many other Cruz supporters have.

Actually, I pre-determined NOT to do the Cruz-Wisconsin-and-Utah stuff you guys did. Which was pretty thick.

I’ve probably post a few pro-DT threads this year. But nothing like this other stuff. Regarding starting threads, that is.

Support your guy but please stop the personal attacks. We’re all patriotic Americans trying to pick the leader who we think is best for our Country. There is no shame in Freepers helping each other out when life gets intense, there are other Freepers that have been helped here and could also feel insulted by your words.

I don’t do personal attacks, unless backed into a corner. Then I’m willing to let the truth fly, ugly though it may be.

Now the posts I made are accurate links from a 7-day-a-week thread starter.

That’s not a personal attack; I don’t even resurrect the arguments since that’s against FR policy.

However, if you’re going to post new threads like it was a job, then some of that comes up.

Yes, I did come to the defense of MaxistheBest.

I invite them to click on all available links I have posted. They are the posts of other people; not me.

We’re showing a flip-flop in a 5-6 year period by this guy. A total flip-flop.

That makes it not my words but in fact, somebody else’s words.

That being said, you can find where I prayed for 2DV upthread. Yep, right here at this $3.99 keyboard where some of the keys are failing. Oh well, I wanted cheap and I got cheap. Won’t be much of a loss when I toss it away.

Trump bloviates day in and day out about his ability to put together an impressive team to address the problems this country faces here and abroad, yet he can’t even put together a campaign team that’s informed and skilled enough to organize the kind of ground campaign needed to secure the delegates needed to win the nomination. Trump is all show and I continue to marvel at how he has managed to sucker so many into believing that he’s ready and able to provide effective leadership in the White house.

Who is doing a better job of it than Trump? He is ahead by what, 300 delegates?

Of course we have. We have learned that it is Republican's duty to become obsequious little Igors gleefully doing the master's bidding. If Cruz were smart he could have projected his candidacy as being momentous. The first Canadian born Hispanic to become the American president and any objections could have been met with the racist meme. The Democratics gave him the template. Should have used it.

From research, there’s no doubt Cruz’ records are sealed.
WHY? WHAT IS HE HIDING?

Great post. I appreciate hard work. Everything I have ever successfully obtained in my life was had through hard work. It’s the Conservative way!
