Ted Cruz Could Be President—No, Seriously
Newsweek ^ | April 13, 2016 | Matthew Cooper

Posted on 04/13/2016 10:10:14 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

It’s a well known story: When Ted Cruz went to work for the George W. Bush presidential campaign in 2000, he had a lot going for him. He was in his 20s, a Texan, and smart, boasting a Harvard Law degree and a Supreme Court clerkship. It didn’t hurt to be young Hispanic man in a campaign looking for Latino votes. But Cruz was so self-aggrandizing and irksome that he managed to annoy folks at the headquarters in Austin so much that he never won a coveted slot at the White House. When Bush took office, Cruz was relegated to the hinterlands of the Federal Trade Commission.

Since then, Cruz’s unlikability has become legendary, especially in the Senate, where he really pissed off his colleagues with a government shutdown, and even called his party’s leader, Sen. Mitch McConnell, a liar. No wonder Ted Cruz was on CNN on Wednesday night as part of their family town hall series. With his telegenic wife and adorable daughters, Cruz did a lot to dispel the image of him as yucky.

Like Nixon in the 50s, Cruz in the 10s isn’t lovable but he has come very far very fast. Here he is, a first-term senator in second place for the Republican nomination, having outlasted the likes of Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush. Like Obama was when he ran and won the presidency, he’s only in the fourth year of his first term....

Cruz was never going to win such degenerate, a-moral people anyway, so who cares what such gossip lovers think, decided or undecided. If this election is decided by voters who voted (or didn’t vote) for a candidate because of an Enquirer article, we’ve got bigger problems than Ted Cruz.

Let's not let sour grapes obscure the memory of John Edwards' candidacy, tanked by the National Enquirer.

As I pointed out in an earlier post, it wasn’t because of the Enquirer that Edwards crashed and burned ultimately. It was because an external, unrelated source confirmed their original allegations. The Enquirer never stands, never can stand, on its own merits; it has no credibility on its own.

No argument per SE, however we haven’t got the specific denials that could be helpful for Ted. All we get from him is sorta denials. He cannot say “I did not get matching tatoos with THAT WOMAN” nor can be assure us that he did not loan her his jacket at the hotel or even meet with her alone. He very likely did.
Hillary will use it on him if he is the candidate.

If one were to accuse Donald. He would likely shrug and say “Its probably true. I said something about that in my book. Look circumstances hit my marriage so I hit back 10 times as hard and I made the thing right with the people involved, we are all friends now, in fact so and so endorsed me and I was best man at their marriage... And I introduced them to their new investment strategist. Everybody does stupid stuff but my family and I have worked it out. So what?”
Water off a ducks back.
But Ted has played the savior card... aka “the face of God maneuver” and it will never wash clean without explicit legal documentation that “I did not have sex with that woman,or that one,or that one... “ and he damned well better give the entire list because I guarantee you Hillary has and keeps lists of women.. She was after all married to wet Willie... Decades of experience.
She will also enjoy ruining the young women... As a bloodsport activity. It is her favorite.

Yes and this is why slimy rapist and pedophile Bill Clinton looks poorly . And scumbag Cruz is following directly in Bill's footsteps.

Right. And I wasn't kidding when I said that if Cruz somehow became the conservative nominee...that Hillary would for dang sure pop the question to Cruz about his eight women. She would tear Cruz up on this and he'd crumple to the floor. And it would be Cruz who didn't come back from the next break. He'd slip out a rear door and make for the alley -with haste.

Desperation. They broke the story. Doesn’t matter that someone else came along later to confirm it. Where were they when they knew and didn’t say?

Albion wilde, the story is true about sex toy Ted. We hear him and his supporters talk about he argued different cases before SCOTUS, but he argued a case where a Texas law forbidding the sale of sex toys ie dildos was illegal, he had to argue the law in two courts he lost both times so the state dropped the law.

Certainly Cruz “could” be president but will he eventually “be” the president, that is the real question.. He still has a long way to go with hundreds of landmines to step over.

He set most of them himself with his underhanded tactics of "win at any cost."

To think, I once believed this guy would be a suitable alternative if Trump didn't make it to the nomination. I sure don't believe that anymore!

Not for Cruz for nominee or President. Don’t need this. If Trump were not the man he is, Cruz wouldn’t be a bad choice, except for our border problem. But, of the career politicians and one whore running, who besides Trump is better?
