Kasich: ‘Maybe Ted Ought to Get Out’ of GOP Race

Republican presidential candidate John Kasich appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday. During the interview, Kasich suggested to host Chuck Todd that rival Ted Cruz should drop out of the GOP race.

"Maybe Ted ought to get out because he can't win in the fall," the Ohio governor said.

"Maybe these people that are hot on that ought to tell him to do it. You know, they tried to tell me to get out of the race how many times, Chuck?" he asked Todd. "And now they should be thanking me for staying in because if Trump did win Ohio it would have been over."

"If you thought your candidacy were helping Donald Trump, not hurting him, would you get out?" Todd asked.

"Chuck, I'm running for president -- this isn't a parlor game of who gets this and who gets that," Kasich responded.....

Kasich did fine in the interview, basically told them to pound sand.
If you’re telling that to the media then it was a good
interview on your part. That being said what kind of stupid
questions are those. 90% of the interview was asking him to
leave the race so Trump will lose to Cruz. Not much
information for voters in terms of his policies. The media
is an absolute joke. By the way, when Cruz can no longer
get to 1237 is HE going to leave the race? I highly doubt it.
Fight hard in Utah Kasich, get at least 30% of the vote and
#StopCruz hahahaha

I doubt that very much...Bush is said to have been forced to “lend” his campaign his own money.

Just like in sports once you stop saying, “mathematically we still have a chance” you’re MOST LIKELY done for. If Cruz is no longer able to get to 1237 are you going to call for him to leave the race too? I doubt it. Cruz and Kasich basically have the same path to the nomination. Convention. That’s the reality. He’s not going to be getting 90% of the delegates from this point out to get to 1237.

In the past I thought Kasich was a decent guy. I had no idea. He’s a jerk. Really.

Kasich is pot calling kettle black here.

Only him staying in the race is good but Cruz staying in has the opposite effect? Please.

Kasich just wants #2 to go away.

HERE/S CRUZ/S BIG BUCK DONORS--the Washington Cartel he swears he/s running against.

Those are NOT Cruz's big donors. You are misinformed.

I’m a Trump supporter, was just commenting on how stupid Kasich’s demand is.

Kasich can stay or leave. It's up to the voters if they want to vote for him.

Are you going to call for Cruz to leave the race at some point?

I don’t see Trump taking California. Those people are absolute whackjobs, and I was born there.

Now Trump MIGHT be able to take New York in the general. If so, it’s over.

I mean the primaries.

CA was lost a long time ago, and IS a galaxy far far away.

But I shouldn’t say that. I didn’t like the NY values shot.

The man is certifiable.

And I mean that in the kindest way possible when referring to someone who is willing to do enormous damage to his party and the country just to feed his own ego.

The man needs to be brought back to Earth. I would like to see him boycotted by Republican voters. If nothing else works, maybe that will. His positions are not shared by the great mass of Republicans. He’s far more aligned with Democrats. I think he’s angling for a nod from Hillary to be her VP.

I never wondered about it until Bush tied up with Cruz, so if Bush is putting money into Cruz’s campaign, then Cruz is also being funded by Soros right?
