Who is more conservative than Trump on building the Wall?

Who is more conservative than Trump on deporting ALL Illegals?

Who is more conservative than Trump on stopping hemorrhaging Trillion dollars EVERY year from American economy in foreign trade deficits, which have killed off middle class jobs by the millions?

Who is more conservative than Trump on stopping Trillions spent in middle-east wars with borrowed money from China, Japan & EU?

Who is more conservative than Trump on taking better care of Vets?

Who is more conservative than Trump on stopping influx of UN-Vetted Muslims entering the country?

Who is more conservative than Trump to repeal Obamacare?

Actually the whole structure of the Constitution was designed to frustrate populism which the framers thought of as mob rule.

Originally, the only direct voice of the people was to be had in the House of Representatives, the Senate being elected by state legislatures. The Supreme Court was not elected at all and the President of the United States was not directly elected either but electors were elected who under the Constitution were expected to exercise their judgment in passing on the populist will.

It is the genius of the Constitution to recognize the popular will but to confine its scope by a system of checks and balances and separation of powers which were frankly designed to frustrate the popular will. That is why we call it a Republic and not a democracy.

I don't will think you believe in the absolute power of the populist will. Are you ready to surrender your Second Amendment rights to bear arms to the Democrats when they gain a majority? I am not willing to surrender my First Amendment rights to Donald Trump if he should have populist wind at his back.

That is an excellent point. Can anyone name a single conservative bill to Cruz’s name which has become law?

Cruz is all talk and no action.

Which of above issues you listed have become law because of senator Cruz’s actions?

His schedule is amazing, that’s pretty impressive. So what is the deal do you think? A skin condition, or what?

If he wasn’t famous, and walked down the street, I would probably look twice, surreptitiously, and hope the guy was going to be OK.

Cruz has had money spent by every special interest in America to include Gays and far left libs like Rahm Emanuel giving money to rickets to trash Trump. Cruz plays every side plus speaks in tongues. Those who spoke in tongues were Greek pagans.

You are right. Trump has more energy than 99% of men at age 69. He has been doing 3 rallies in one day in 3 different states, standing on his feet for 6 hours and keeping the audience interested without teleprompters.

That is quite a non sequitur, Talisker.

It is perfectly contextual with your non sequitur.

And in that, it shows your attack against me to be stupid.

Now run along and play.

1. Cruz’s “push” for legal status for all illegals is the poisoned pill amendment that helped kill the gang of 8 bill led by Rubio. Thankfully, Cruz and Sessions were successful in killing the bill using mechanisms like the one you misrepresent here.

2. H1-B visas

In the debate, Trump explicitly affirmed this practice. He went further to say that he does use this technique for his own businesses and will do so in the future. That is not Cruz’s current position.

3. Pushing TPP

Free trade is a conservative value. Protectionism is a democrat/ unions value. We might call them New York Values.

4. Pushing Syrian refugees

Trump is on video pushing to admit syrian refugees. Both men changed their position after they quickly realized that ISIS was infiltrating the ISIS pull.

Videos can definitely lie— you just have to catch someone unaware of the larger context of issues.

I have watched all of the RNC debates and DNC debates. I have followed Cruz from the inception of his career.

I am still waiting for your explanation of how Trump fulfills the expectations of Free Republic stated values.

I don’t notice the orange thing. Walking down the street, I’d probably notice the hair and eye makeup.

More good news. Obama who originally opposed, signed the bill.

The Iranian diplomat in question was banned from the US because of Cruz’s successful legislative action.

“Conservative” is a wide set of issues. It is never a single issue. We should elect presidents and senators and congress critters based on what is urgently needed. With 94 million Americans without jobs, approaching $22,00,000,000,000 in national debt, $110,000,000,000,000 in unfunded liabilities, people are voting for whom they feel will tackle the urgent issues first.

You dismiss me like Trump might. “You’re stupid. Nah nah nah nah nah nah.”

How do you hope to have people like me vote for Trump in the general, should he become our nominee, if you’re so rude?

Really? Maybe I’m out of it, or have to have my eyes checked. I actually think the hair is bizarre but passable. So you are saying his makeup is what is orange or he isn’t that color at all?

Trump has created more REAL JOBS, in the main street economy of America, built more things which people can use, THAN ALL 44 PRESIDENTS COMBINED. So he is more than just an entertainer. Is he perfect? Heavens no. Only God is perfect. But Trump may be what the country needs to tackle the urgent problems.

Keep in mind that the issues you list are legislative agendas which erode or destroy conservative values.

this means that blocking the passage of these bills is a legislative success for Cruz and any conservative.

Stopping the Federal government is often the best thing conservatives can do.

Cruz’s single handed shut down of the Federal government in 2013 is a very important success and one which experts said would lead to further expansion of Democratic senate control in 2014.

In reality, Democrats lost seats that year and Republicans took control— promising to follow Cruz’s lead about abolishing Obama care— which we found at later McConnell was lying about.
