I Hate Illinois Nazis

Just about the time I was getting ready to write this column, news broke from Chicago that a Trump rally was canceled because of threats.

Not surprising, I thought. Sad, but not surprising.

Welcome to the 2016 election.

I'm not a Trump fan by any stretch of the imagination. If you've been reading my columns, I've been quite critical of his unwillingness or inability to speak in specifics on important policy issues. I sympathize with conservatives who oppose him from a policy angle.

But what happened in Chicago is different.

It was portrayed as a protest specifically against Donald Trump, but these self-entitled progressive monsters would've eventually gone after whoever the Republican candidate with the most delegates was because it's what they do - they try to suppress, then oppress, anyone who dares to says anything their feeble minds deem unacceptable.

Granted, Trump hasn't helped the political atmosphere - there isn't anyone in the race, Democrat or Republican, he hasn't called some pejorative term. But it used to be the words that didn't hurt you, it was the "sticks and stones" you had to look out for. Now progressive Democrats use sticks and stones (and fists) to combat words they don't like.

But then, the Democratic Party of today is not the Democratic Party of yesterday. Media progressives love to claim Ronald Reagan couldn't win the GOP nomination in 2016, the implication being the party has moved so far to the right he simply wouldn't be acceptable to these "extremists." It's a lie, but lying is what progressives do.

Reagan would be far more acceptable to Republicans today than John F. Kennedy would be to Democrats....

Yup, but the critics are too lazy or biased to go to Trump’s web site and read his position papers for themselves. Instead they bitch and moan. They’re pathetically LAZY.

These people, the so called protesters are the tools of the oligarchy that are tearing down the US.

They are paid protesters, communist agitators and violent. They are the thug arm of leftists elite political class. If these people do not respect the rights of all people then they deserve to be hit back.

I am done with this communist crap! Time to shove back, hit back, and fight.

Good morning Vet,

Wanted to let you know that yesterday I removed my "Cruz 2016" sticker from my vehicle, unsubscribed to all tedcruz.com websites, wrote a snail mail letter to the Cruz campaign, explaining why I wanted removed and requested every penny of my donations returned.

Ted Cruz in Chicago on Friday night was a disgrace, an if he apologized to Trump and all of his supporters, I wouldn't accept it.

He proved that William Shakespeare was correct, "The first thing we do, is kill all the lawyers".

Ted Cruz is a lawyer first and a human being second, slimy bastard.

I'm sorry that my trust in ted was misplaced, but he is a low life, as low as any demonRAT, even worse because he pretends to care about the Constitution.

I wish Trump would point out that no specifics are ever implemented by ANY cabinet. But if you want to get something done, you give an inch and get a foot. That is the Reagan way.

The fear mongering on both sides is reminiscent of 1980. I recall being firmly in RR’s camp and then hear all of this fear talk. I made me stop and wonder. Then I shook my head, got clear again and voted for the Gipper.

I would have voted for the Gipper too had I been of voting age back then. Reagan had class (stylish excellence), at the very least, and comparative to Trump - ok, no comparison in my books.

JFK was shot dead in the USA soon after becoming POTUS. By whom, and Why? who knows for sure.

Good luck, this time all-round. Gotta live for 4 yrs minimum with the one elected POTUS end of this yr.
